Hey Space Cat!
I just picked this thing up today on a whim and have only picked up the free ampkit, and just recently this fender free app, but I haven't checked the fender one out yet. Because I didn't do a lot of research I was a little surprised that it only comes with 3 effects, after you register to get the distortion, the delay and noise suppressor are included in the original no bs 39.99... ... Dingle Berry at the store even told me, "nah you just goto the app store dl the free ampkit and it has everything you just gotta put up with some ads", riiiiight...
Anywho, performance wise(with what you get for the original 39.99)it isn't so bad. I'm kicking around here at quarter to midnight pounding on strings into headphones with nothing but a cord my screen and this thing the size of a AA battery. The distortion idle's pretty loud but when you find the sweet spot between that and the suppressor you can get it pretty tight until you want to shut the suppressor down and have loud open hairy iphone tonez

The delay is nothin to tell momma bout but she works and I'm still pretty stoked on this ultra mini rig. Being as I'm using this on the iphone 4 the screen size is definitely an issue. I can have fun with this thing for sure but switching effects, turning them on and off, as well as amps/cabs/mics etc, a bit of a chore. Ipad would be a lot smoother for this.
I can't speak on the Apogee biz because I did the same thing, they were right next to each other and all I was thinkin was 40... 100... 40... thanks cya
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ME...The sound was considerably more pleasing when I jacked my bose headphones!
haha, I read a couple of these posts and I'm not sure I would spread the 40, but I'm glad I did it's good cheap quiet kicks and at times those are the shit

As far as going another 20 in and getting everything, we'll see, I could see it if I had the ipad and could work it a lot easier, on the iphone though with the fender kit as well I'm sure it'll get it's moneys worth
