Testing the Suhr Load box using my Mesa Boogie Mark III

damn Mesa's are the shit...great clip.

Question... for the $$'s spent on the Suhr Load box + Torpedo 2Notes, could you have gotten the Suhr Load IR for less $$? Not bashing your rig, or decision, just trying to understand the different components required for this "silent-type" setup for amps, and the best/economical avenue to go about it. i really want to try IR/Load etc... sounds damn good, the clips i've heard anyway...

thanks for the clip..love clips!

Thx a lot dude! Well I bought it used for 280 euros! It costs about 480 new if I'm not mistaken! I bought the torpedo cab last year for 300 euros. I can't tell you how much I've been enjoying it since then! The two notes software - remote - has released a new update that allows you to mix and blend 2 IRs and experiment with double mics.

I will have to listen later. I have been using my Suhr RLIR live and its been working out great. Last time was my Mesa Mark IVA into the Suhr RLIR, was able to run my mark IVA at 3 on the master volume, which is a rarity for me to get it that high.

...and something i don't know...the 2notes may have more parameters, options than the Suhr Load IR. Of course now that i say that... wouldn't the Suhr Load box be sufficient in conjunction with the 2notes wall of sound?

sorry dude... i feel like I'm Torpedo'n your thread here... :D

No worries dude! The two notes software have so many parameters to shape ur tone that it's unbelievable! I am not familiar with suhr IR load box. Now suppose u have the torpedo cab u can run the preamp section of ur amp, so this is why u also need a load box if u want to take advantage of the power section as well. To answer to ur question, yes it would be sufficient but the cab gives u the option to record direct while listening to the IR monitoring inr eal time - using the remote software.

That sounds nice. Real nice.
I appreciate that! Thx a lot! I'll be recording some new clips using more aggressive EQ!

I really love the tone.

I am in the same boat as a lot of people. Looking for the best route to take. I am thinking I am just going to blow the big bucks and get a two notes. Just not sure what one fits me best.

It's just hard to find the right one. I need something to hold the load, which is a definite. I need to have all 4, 8, and 16 ohm to do what I need (vintage fenders, Mesa, orange, etc), but the one thing I know is that I am impressed with the wall of sound IR's.

Yes, you need to consider your options, but I totally agree the remote - two notes software is amazing!

clips sound good dude...

i'm thinking an 8ohm torpedo...my amps have the 4,8,16 settings. i'm torn about the cab emulation plug-in...Torpedo WOS looks cool,, in that it appears user friendly...and from the clips i've heard, it sounds pretty good...and the software is free. There may be a better quality plug-in to cost product.... :dunno:

there isnt really a plugin that matches what WOS does. Its more than just an IR loader.

Couldn't agree more. I ve tested all plugins available and nothing comes close to that. All plugins sound dull to me, no punch

WOS is amazing, I plugged mic cable into my Syngery, installed the plugin on Garagband, turned on the monitors and before I knew it I had noodled for an *hour* just listening to it....
