JP had so many great riffs and tunes, probably why I've seen them a dozen times since my first JP concert at Long Beach Arena in 1977. Whoops, did I just say 1977! Fu....k! God I'm old!

I like that one and Victim Of Changes is another one.

All this brings back memories of how we learned songs , moving the needle back on the turntable aka (record player) . I think I learned more back then and played much better because we didn't have anyone saying that's a A Major not a A Major Barre

So you know everyone is thinking which Scumback Speakers are best for some righteous Priest tones.

Yep, but thank Gawduh for YouTubes and such, makes learning some of these Priest songs much easier and faster.

One of my favorite on stage memories from way back is the other guitar player and I figuring out the Victims intro (getting the harmony straight) and whipping it out as our intro. The only thing I regretted was we used the intro to segue into our first song and I instantly felt “man, just playing all of victims would have been so much more fun and cooler”…lol

I'm partial to the Rocka Rolla album, but Defenders of the Faith and Screaming For Vengeance are both awesome too.

So did I read right on Wiki that none of the current or “popular” lineup was in the band when it was first formed?

1st concert was KISS in '79 with Judas Priest opening. I left saying "Damn, that Judist Preest band was awesome!". Bought Unleased In The East immediately and never looked back.

Wow. My first concert was also Kiss in 1979. October 2 in St. Louis. John Cougar opened and was pretty much boo’ed off the stage. Probably the last good kiss tour. It was the beginning of the end. Dynasty.

I can remember being 11 or 12 and picking out The Sentinel, Electric Eye and Bloodstone. The old fashioned way. With a cassette deck and a lot of rewinding.

Same lineup on the first album as British Steel and Screamin' For Vengeance, except for the drummer.

Ian Hill is the only original member currently in the band.
