So, after gigging with my Kemper for all of 2023, I decided I wanted to go back to an actual amp on stage. Mainly do to the inability of soundmen knowing how to mix a direct signal correctly. So, I decided no more disappearing in the mix...lol! I'll still be sending a direct signal to the FOH, but it will be from my TwoNotes Captor X. Using the EVH "Brownieback" pack from TwoNotes. Spent last night dialing in the DynIR at a friend's studio. I thought it came out really nice. So. I figured I would share.

This is my Charvel San Dimas ProMod loaded with a Duncan RTM. The 5153 is controlled by a RJM Mini Amp Gizmo with a Musicom Labs EFX-MKIII. Boss SDE-3000EVH in the loop for delays. I have an H9 on the board from some flavors but didn't use it in this clip. I think this tone will work well in a band mix.

Sounds good to me! Played many of the same riffs that I end up screwing around with late at night with a few in me.

Thanks! Yeah, I jack around with the same tunes a lot. They seem to be the only ones that I can think of when I hit record on the camera...lol!

The amp sounds great SFW.....................:2thumbsup:Dare I say Cameronesque.........................................
Oh Lawd…. You gonna kick the hornets nest. lol. If I didn’t need a lower gain tone for my current gig, I could live on the Blue channel. With the gain cranked it does have that modded Marshall vibe going on.

Nice work and sounds great! I have a similar setup with the Captor X and the same amp but there is no way I am carting all of that to my gigs.

I'm super happy with the Axe III to FOH and using a PXM12-mp as my monitor. Once they added the dyna-cabs on that unit, I had no more issues with FOH tones.

In any case though, you need to be happy with what you hear and this obviously does it for you.

It’s not that I’m not happy with the tones I get from my Kemper. It’s that most sound guys in the Houston area don’t push the guitars through the mains. So if there’s not a 412 on the stage, guitars don’t really get heard. Just drums, bass and vocals. So I’m bringing back the large rig to overcome that issue. If someone tells me that they can’t hear me… I have a knob for that. lol.
