He just answered you question.TheMagicEight":mh5pk3g5 said:I just sent him a final message:
"Hello,
After seeing all the comments about people saying it's a Rev. Blue, I decided to verify the information you gave me. I'm glad I did. A phone call directly to Bogner informed me that not only did Rev. Blue Uberschalls use symbols for the serial #, but the Rev 2 had a different light, no FX loop control, and no bias test points. They said based on the pictures you have a Rev. Blue, not a Rev. 2, and that it will even say "Revision Blue" on the back of the amp because of its blue circuit boards - as opposed to the Rev. 2's green boards.
You may seriously want to consider revising your description. Had I actually bought the amp, I would have realized within minutes that it wasn't right and would have sent it back for a refund (eBay's buyer protection program orchestrates the process regardless of your policies). Anyway, it's your sale and your decision.
Thanks,
Nick"

"Yeah, this one here doesn't say Revision Blue anywhere on the rear or on the chasis' PC boards, as no bias test points on the rear, and just a send/cut knob for the loop--just like my other 2 Rev 2's. It's a 2. Oh, PS--the REV Blue I'm selling DOES have BLUE and it is ONLY numbers in the serial. And the people I just spoke to at Bogner verified all that, that it is a Version 2, as well. You people are really rookies. Buy elsewhere--PLEASE!!"
Well since you've unpacked it, why not send some pics my way? If I see that it indeed does not say "Revision Blue", I'll bid on it and pay immediately.

Q: If I purchase the item and it is a different version than you state in the auction then can I get a full refund? I am interested in the item, but I am not sure your details are right. You are being rude to a lot of questions which concerns me from a buyers standpoint but I am willing to bid with reassurance if it is not the item you state I can get a refund. Feb-16-10
A: Sure. But let me first ask you a question. Here's the deal: people need to begin using their EARS instead of trying to discern "reality" (whatever the hell that might be) via appeal to some set of technical specifications provided via the spoon-fed culture of the non-phenomenal. It seems as though you have done some experimenting with different revisions; though many people just assume that going Blue is the way to roll. All of this is part and parcel of why music tends to suck today. I would surely hope that I could blindfold people, hook up different versions of these amps, or Soldano's that Mike had modified, or whatever, fire them up, and that players would get the aesthetics of the differences from the feel intended by the engineering. Too be sure, this head has no bias points on it, a late member of the green-board revision 2 camp, and one can HEAR the differences, though very subtle, between this head and, for example, the Revision Blue we have in another auction. My question to you is this: why do you want a REV 2 verses an older Uberschall or a Rev. Blue? What do you hear in the R-2 that works for you?
So he is saying is who cares what I am selling you. If it sounds good then it is good. Pay no attention to what I am really selling you. People need no read lables. Just play and listen with your ears. Well how the hell do we listen with our ears if the seller isnt selling what he is stating?!?!!?

Here was my response back to him.
I am not sure I understand, is this your way of saying I should buy because it sounds good to you? Music and tone is not set in stone. You may like one thing while I like another. I have spoken with Mike at Soldano and Charlie at Bogner many times. I own an XTC Classic from Bogner as well as many other high gain amps and more classic amps. The reasons I want a rev 2 or rev blue should really not concern you, but what should is giving a buyer a straight answer and the guarantee of a refund if the amp is not as described.
So again I will ask before I bid, will you full refund my money if the amp you send me is not as described in the auction?

Nick, I love you, man. Alright. I'll send some pictures over when I get a few minutes late today. Dude, you rock. Brother, very few get through to me to this point. Hey, I'm posting a response to an old question that I simply blew off. Here's the crux of the reply: the deal between any and, hopefully, every revision of Bogner, or say any amp Mike over at Soldano modifies, or whatever, is in how each tweak these dudes come across translates in the feel and tone we experience when plugged in. So, a lot of these people who are searching out what is on a spec sheet--does it have this or that--have NO idea about why they would even want a revision A over a B, C, or D. They just get caught up in the head-game of it. And that's a shame, as the phenomenal aspect of what makes the feel of music translate for these designers gets obscured and lost in all that. It also probably speaks to why music tends to suck for the most part today. I note in the response that I should be able to blindfold a player, hook up a few different revisions, and then just have them vibe out and experience each amp for what it is. THAT should be the deciding factor in what and why somebody is down with a specific revision or model. Insofar as you seem to be hip to the Rivision II, I kind of dig where you're coming from; as such suggests you have actually done some tripping on them all. This is a very late 2 and I think it was right when they were changing over. So the chassis appears much like the revision blue, only there are no bias points and the serial is still just 3 symbols. I've had one blue in the past with symbols, but, if memory serves, there were more than 3 symbols for some reason. Huh, now I wonder why that was? Anyway, that was a monster sounding head--kind of the best of both worlds. Wish I still had that amp (jonesing amp-junky I B).

Buyer: "I can see the model name in the picture."
Seller: "The model name isn't anywhere on the amp. This one has the right handle to be the expensive one."
