Sounds good! If you use one of the new Ownhammer Mesa IRs it will sound even better....

You know I tried hooking up the axe edit so I could load some user cabs and I could never get it working. Not sure what the deal is.

Sounds good. I have an Axe II and love it. I had a terrible time uploading the Celestion IRs into mine. They need to make this shit dummy proof...and I'm just the dummy they should use to test this shit.

Kick ass heavy tune! Great tone and playing.

What is your tuning?

:cheers2:

Haha! Right!! I think I may have figured out my problem though. I think I actually have to use 2 midi cables. I only tried it with one. I've got my fingers crossed till I get home and try it.

You simply import IRs into the cab manage section of Axe Edit or just drag the IRs into the cab manage section of Axe Edit........what could be easier :dunno:

I agree. This is super easy on the Ax II. Open up Axe-Edit, Open the Cab Manage window, select folder where IRs are.... success!

Any time you use actual MIDI cables (not USB or whatever), you have to use 2 cables. Out goes to in, and in goes to out. That is the same for any device to connect to a computer using MIDI cables.

Cool thanks for the confirmation. I have an M-Audio fast track ultra with the midi in and out on it. When I had an Ultra back when they came out I was able to do firmware updates with it. I'm sure once I add that second cable it will work.

Do you not have to convert the .wave file to .sysx files to load them? I used the free cablab software from Fractal to do this when I had the AX8. Pain in the ass for sure.

CabLab literally can convert hundreds of IRs in a minute....

It sure can. Still a pain to have to do it. Every other device just loads the .wave file.

Still rockin' my Ultra as well. Glad to see others are still serving up some justice with them!

Yep! I was like Pete when I got the Celestion IR's it took me a a bit to figure it out. When I found out that I had to download another piece of software to put .wav IR's into the AX8 I was like WTF? Simply dragging the IR into the CAB manager should automatically covert it for you. I like the way Fractal stuff sounds but man they are behind the times in some areas.

I never really got along with the Ultra for amp and cab tones in the DI setup I wanted it to work in, but there´s no doubt that the FX capabilities still are heads and tails above any other guitar multi-FX processor.
