Cool. Looks like I will be looking for an ESP.
ESP's are awesome. I LOVE the neck on them. But if you're only getting it because of tuning stability, any LP can have good tuning stability with a good, professionally cut nut.

Naw. The looks are good too. And I won't get it unless I like how it plays.

I've got two ESP Eclipses and never have any tuning issues.

They have some awesome tops too. Here's a brand new one in black aqua that I picked up last month.

That trans blue looks sweet !

I've owned a bunch of LPs and never had a problem staying in tune. I guess it depends on what style you play. Are you playing crazy hard?

I play heavy music, and have a tendency to do things hard, so I may play hard. Even so, my schecter never goes out of tune.

1. Metalupass's blue quilt ESP is GORGEOUS!!!

2. I have several Les Paul guitars (Gibson and Epiphone) and have never had any problems with tuning after a proper setup and intonation... Stock hardware.

Definitely look at the LTD EC line.
Any model# 401 and up are KILLER axes. Made for what you want to do here.

Today I actually just bought a used EC-500 and it's a dream for the price.
Gloss black, white body/neck binding, EMGs = awesomness.

Hell, if you can find a ESP Eclipse for a decent price, even better!
I actually just picked up an LTD EC256 a couple of weeks ago for under $200 and I'm very impressed with it. Of course the hardware was all crap, but I gutted my Agile that I never played and swapped everything out. Now it has EMG's, Tonepros TOM, and Grover locking tuners. I also had a graptech nut cut for it and now it stays in tune really well. Not the best sounding guitar I've ever owned, but it's super fun to play!! I can tell you too that the difference in tuning stability between before I had the nut replaced and now is night and day. Before, you would look at it wrong and it would go out of tune. Now I can do big bends and bash the shit out of it and it stays in tune. So really, just the nut makes a HUGE difference. Here's a pic of it from just before I had the nut swapped...
Very nice dude. I was looking at those when they were released. I was going to do the same swapping too. Loving my EC-500 too. The EMG's are....interesting. Only certain amps of mine seem to like those pickups. Namely my VHT, and Soldano. My Recto and Laney sound better with passives it seems.

^yeah, been wondering if I shouldn't get some Passives for my Mesa. Kyle from Rhodes told me my blackouts sounded "loose".

I was flipping through the classified last night and there is a guy here that has a Burny for sale. Mind you he is askin a pretty penny for it but it seems nice. Like others, im impressed with the LTD's I have played. The worst thing I can say is I dont like the pickups which is easily correctable. The trans blue pictured above is gorgeous and would not mind finding one for myself someday.

Really? They sound great with any high gainer I've tried them with, including a Recto.
