Well, I'm working on finalizing my order with Richard of Monsterpiece. Thanks for the help boys.
Bump for how do/did you lke it? I still have mine. It's hung around longer than any other pedal and many have come and gone.

I'm liking it, Gary. I've never played an original or KTR so I can't compare, though.

I cannot compare either but I have owned five Klones. The Stud is still here. At least one or two of the Klones are suppossed to be closer to the original. The Stud is a little more agressive. I find teh stud to thicken th emids while retaining low end. I like the fell teh Stud adds. It' s up there with my favorite OD pedal.

Yeah, I love the explosive attack it adds and how it thickens up the mids, while not losing clarity. I use a TS808HW on my board as well for more of a high mid boost. To me, the Klon is fatter in the low midrange. Curious, what your favorite OD pedal is?
Exactly. Between this and a good Tube Screamer type it's all you really need. I have a TS type coming soon since I sold my Maxon. I can't remember my favorite.  Right now it's the Stud.

I have a STUD inbound as well (I hate writing that!). I A/B'ed a lot of overdrives recently, including some Klon clones (Aluminum Falcon II and the Bondi Sick As OD), into my BE100. My baseline for clean boost is my MIJ SD-1. I still have the Sick As. It will be a shootout when the STUD arrives. I am also on the list for a KTR (not holding my breath as I am #1931-figure I'll see it in 2019). I am also on the list for a KoT (expected in December). It's a fun time to be chasing overdrives

I owned a few you listed including the Sickas. The Stud wins. Another aspect of the Stud I like is that it seems to allow me higher gain and volume without causing my guitar/amp to squeal. The Stud is still on my board for a year and a half I think. I have bought and sold maybe 12 OD's and boosts. Maybe more like 20 but I can't remeber. I had alot of the Klones, The AF, The ARC, Illuminated and others.

Things are getting interesting now - picked up a new KTR yesterday. I really like it as a clean boost into my Friedman. I still have the Sick As and a STUD is arriving Friday.

  It can be ordered with a buffer or true bypass. I am not sure which one I have. The one with the resistor off of the switch which determines which one it is. The Stud blends with the amps I have tried it with. It adds a nice mid as a Klon should with gain. Nice feel also. It does not affect your low end. No mid spike. If anything it is lower mid. One thing I dig is that it allows me to boost my amps more than other pedals and still maintain control over squeal and feedback. It's a great pedal. Not sure how long it takes Richard I think to build. Shoot him an email. He responds quickly.

The Velvet Pedals Minotaur sounds pretty good. I think there's even a demo on u tube.

Tom, you can try out mine and see what you think... ;) The cost is $200 or $190 via paypal gift.

Mine arrived this morning - videos to come next week

Got mine too - was gonna try to sell it and make a buck (I'm not ashamed, and I don't feel bad about it...so don't try to scold me), but I may keep it for a while. I just hate how cheap the whole thing feels. I feel like it's gonna break every time I step on it...

Finally getting a chance to play around with them today. So far it's very cool =)
