I think your Cali is one of my favourite guitars I've ever seen on any forum, since getting into the forum thing around 2005. Its not even that I really am like "I WANT THAT", rather its obviously a great guitar that has been lovingly played for a long time. It looks like a great old friend.

That chip along the bottom is a crazy story though; in one of my old bands we used to practice in one of those little portable metal buildings my drummer had in his yard. We took a break and i set the guitar down on top of my amp, and walked outside with the drummer and bass player to shoot the shit.

Drummer leans against his old manual trans S10 and the motherfucker starts rolling down the hill and slams in to the building. We open the door to assess the damage and we had all forgotten the other guitar player had stayed inside the whole time. Dudes eyes were the size of dinner plates when we opened the door wondering wtf just happened

I have 2 of the USA Hamers. A 1981 Vector (V) and a 1997 or 98 Standard (Explorer). You can take the boy out of Chicago but you can't take the Chicago out of the boy.

Also owned a few import models that were shockingly good

Had a black sparkle Centaura and the "Korina" colored Diablo myself. Add 'em to the list of being stupid and letting stuff go. Love that burst Diablo. Odd as I've gotten older I love bursts but back in the day I couldn't be bothered with them. And of course I'll always be a sucker for a white guitar, especially one that is naturally faded.
