This Runt amp rips

It sure does. And has my favorite cleans on any Friedman that I've played thus far.

Now... I'll sit back and wait for more internet experts who've never played one to chime in with their informed opinions on why it's no good.

Let's all relax here boys...:)

As a Friedman fanboi myself, I will say that the primary reason I'm so excited about this thing is that I haven't owned a pedal in years. The only pedals I've had in recent years was Keeley pedals and that is because he is a childhood friend of mine and makes great stuff!!! With the Axe-Fx II though, I was like "why do I need any pedals?"

The Friedman changed that because I play the dang thing every night thru my Axe-Fx. :) I will say that I've screwed myself because now I want yet another pedal. I saw Rob is coming out with the Keeley Dark Side. I checked out some clips and looks amazing. A Pink Floyd in a box type pedal. I was chatting with him yesterday and looks like they are going to start rolling them out in a week or so.

I'm doomed to end up with a combo or other amp again. :)

FFS, it's a PEDAL.

It's a PREAMP... and a damn good one at that.
No, it's a PEDAL! Small, square, has a bunch of knobs and an on/off switch. So its a pedal. Don't make it out to be GOD.

  Some of you Friedman fanbois make my comical day!
Enjoy it. I'm sure its cool.

Pull your head out. I never said that it was "god". And if you haven't even plugged into one yet, what the hell are you even running your mouth in this thread for???

Aaand were off....its soo easy to get some of you to react. You're almost as bad as those EVH dudes from a few years ago.....I'll send a box of Kleenex your way.....

I'm sure the pedal is killer, and I might even try one into my D60 or NMV Marshall. After all, it'll save me 2600 over buying an actual BE100. Plus, with the killer Marshall and VHT power section it won't be as compressed as the actual amp.

i love this. "I haven't even played the pedal but let me talk shit about it." Dude. play the pedal, and it you DON't like it, then give us your INFORMED OPINION. So ridiculous. And it does not replace the BE. It is a great addition to add versatility to your rig, OR to have a great backup in case you get stuck with a SHIT amp that has a bad gain channel at a gig. Just as people like you believe there are Friedman fan boys (which there are), there are also people who can't wait to hate on stuff Dave releases, even when they haven't played it. If you haven't played one then you are in no position to tell us how bad it is or how it is not GOD, even when Red Label never said that. This pedal will not replace my tube amps but it gets DAMN CLOSE. And it SHITs on many tube amps I have had in the past and SOLD.

Thanks for the informed contribution to this thread. HATER.

I love how your response doesn't address any of the logical points that I made instead you choose to use a buzz word like butt hurt. Keep on hating on something you aren't qualified to even comment on. Haha!

You had mostly illogical points, if any points at all. Any so-called 'attack' on a Friedman product will be dealt with in a fanatical nonsensical manner by the Friedman fanbois, like yourself. Just like the EVH fanbois from a few years ago lol....but that stuff didn't have the specter of where it was made hanging over the heads of the buyers. What if these 4k amps that are advertised as 'Made in the USA' were really 'Made in China'? Wow...talk about the fleecing of america.

But we all know that's not true, they're built here in the US.

Haha, whatever you say man. Truth is that I have many different amps that I play from different manufacturers. I like whatever sounds good to my ears. Doesn't matter who makes them. I could care less it is completely made in the US or not, if it sounds good I will play. I don't care it is made in Kenya, if it sounds good I will rock it. Seems to me like they are too rich for your blood or something. All I am saying is if you are going to act like you know what this pedal is about, maybe you should play one before you give some brash opinion. At this point it is pretty obvious that everyone who has tried one digs it.

When did I say I know what this pedal is about?? All I said was "its just a pedal, its not god...." and here come the defenders, who act like I've just pissed in their cereal. This was after someone else made a similar statement. Its like some of you have so much invested that how dare anyone make a comment other than 'its the bestest evar!' I'm sure its a good pedal. And yes I can buy a Friedman any time I want. But I've played 5 of his amps and owned a couple of his modded Marshalls, and I'm not a fan of overly compressed amps so I'll pass. I have a Mark 2C+ which is more to my taste.
If your still bothered/butthurt then try some meds. It'll be ok ...time heals.

Lol! Plug into the pedal... For $200 I think you will agree it is more than reasonable for the tone you will get. But hey if you don't like it you can then say, I tried it and didn't like it. Tone is subjective and I have no issue at all with you or anyone else having a different preference, honestly doesn't affect my life in the slightest.

Plugged my BE-OD directly into the FX return on my Splawn Quickrod yesterday and voila... sounded pretty much just like the drive channel on my Smallbox. So yeah... I stand behind my remark calling the BE-OD a "preamp". ;)

After just going through a pedal vacuum I don't think the BE-100 pedal will come close to the real thing

Took mine to my local GC and plugged it into a BE-100...spent about half an hour going back and forth between em...less low end but sounds a lot like it. Just FYI.

Going to try this with my Quick Rod. I have a buddy that shipped out his BE-OD to me today to check out. Also going to try it with my Fryette Power Station!

The pedal outcome depends on what amp you plug it in.
Ain't that the truth. Just the bright cap on a volume control can make or break distortion pedal tone. My favorite pedal amp is a Trainwreck Rocket home-brew with 3-position bright switch. That plus the Treble and Cut control and you can really dial in the high-end/fizz.

This pedal sounds more like a real amp than any pedal in the history of pedals.

I can't get over how real it sound & feels.

I have no idea how Dave was able to do what no other company could do, but it's game over for all other hot rod plexi pedals.

It's not only about the high-end response. The secret is in the complete range response; you can't use that pedal on a Squier 15W transistor and transform it into a tone monster.
