Cardinals sign Dustin May. Well, there is a small amount of promise on a one year deal. I looked and his spin rates are pretty legit but he keeps too much over the plate. Also, I discovered that he went on the DL for eating salad and getting an intestinal tear. That is concerning. Anyway, if he can give the Cards 150 innings 4.17 era whip 1.276 it will be worth it. Let's see what happens.

My Dads been taking me to games forever especially when I was a kid even in elementary.... Kinda forgot but he always took me and my brother and we played ball and catch all the time too..... Just found an old glove too.
Back when I was fat and had a bowl cut...... Pretty embarrassing. My Dad taught me everything I know about Baseball..... Two Angel fans in the Outfield..... 20 years ago.... In my old NASA Hubble Telescope Pilots Jacket..... I traded a magnetic bracelet for the jacket to a guy who actually worked on the project.
Yeah I never would have imagined then that I did now and how far I've come thanks to my Dad......

Enjoying a game with your dad is one of my most favorite memories in life. Thanks you for sharing that heartwarming moment. My dad is still alive, and very angry about the Cardinals path these last few years. He would be more than happy to tell you.

Yeah man, this next season looks tough for the Cards but at least they aren't the Angels.....
My Dad is also upset with the Angels..... I always tell him "Dad they aren't going to make it this season again and fail even worse."..... But he always watches and he is a die hard fan of the Angels. But I root for the boys too when it matters.
I went to the 3rd to last game of the season just to root for them to win so they could at least knock the Astros out through so fuck me they at least did that.
Everyone was kind of sad that day I went because the season was over pretty much but I had a twinkle in my eye that was infectious to anyone who came across me that day. Really got my section rooting even though we had no real chance of making Postseason anymore and cheered for Trout so hard he tipped his hat even in my direction. Talked smack on the opposing team and players, smacked the seats as hard as I could, yelled my lungs out..... I did my part.
Mike hit 2 HRs that day and the Angels beat the fucking Astros and knocked them out of Postseason..... At least the Angels did that for my Dad last season *_*

The game didn't really matter at this point..... The season was over..... But real fans knew it did matter..... And I just had to go to that game to see it happen *_*
The Angels yeah in reality are nothing but a lowly, below average, sub .500 team....... But in this moment they could at least do something that fucking mattered worth a damn...... And that something was simply to knock the fucking Astros out of Postseason.
Kyle Hendricks retired after this game and gave us one last good outing as well..... Hats off to a real stud....
Trout was lit this night too..... 402nd and 403rd career HRs....... HR in the bottom of the 8th for the go-ahead..... What a fucking dude......

So proud of Skubal...... In the history of the game there have only been 12 consecutive Cy Young Winners..... Only 4 southpaws amongst those 12..... The last pitcher in general to do it in the AL was Pedro Martinez 25 years ago....
That's how special this moment is not just for Skubal but for fans and Baseball......
What a guy and here is to Tarik on his 2nd Cy Young and back to back Cy Youngs....... Tarik is a future HOFer in the making and really the sky is the limit to set and make his mark in the game in ways he doesn't even know yet or any of us may be prepared for in the StatCast Era ^_^

Its not just about money........ When it comes to winning...... Or the game in general.....
Pure imagination, thinking outside the box or the Diamond..... And a real winning attitude matters in the game and money can't but that......
Baseball teaches us IMO that imagination, strategy and new ways of thinking and doing things are possible........ The old ways and tradition are important..... But new thought and real innovation breaking from the conventional wisdom or traditional norm are needed.....
The game has its roots in deep history...... But that history is formed from evolutions upon evolutions and from era to era and decade to decade...... IMO Evolution is a part of the game..... And evolution is a part of Baseball as much as it is intertwined with the history of our great country...... America
And new forms of thought and strategy using innovation and imagination aren't moving away from Baseball..... Or destroying it......
It's merely showing the game for what it is sometimes and what actually matters and is valued in the game and has been valued in the game at its roots for 200+ years......

It's just stressful to do this now...... Especially with the expectation to beat the "experts" and hell none of the "experts" are any damn fucking good at all and fail season after season after season and year after year after year from PECOTA to Fangraphs to MLB/ESPN/MLB on Fox or the Ringer or CBS or whoever the fuck else.....
They are all pretty much retarded as I have shown over the past 3 years and seasons as I have beat them.... And they get paid to do this shit actually......
It's just hard to explain...... I feel I could do another one but at the same time..... Doing this for 3 seasons back to back to back and beating the "experts" in the whole industry season after season after season are high expectations to set for oneself and it isn't easy.......
Its hard to explain the feeling....... The joy...... The pleasure..... And the feeling of accomplishment and kind of a feeling of seeing ones children or child grow up, become successful and be proud not of ones work but of the child/work/I don't know wtf but yeah......
To make these unbelievable projections even I had a hard time of believing and unfolding in real time throughout the seasons and years now....... It's hard to explain but it really is something amazing I'm just glad that the moderators here and members here were a part of and followed me on the journey......
Honestly...... As much glee and joy I have over these past 3 seasons and years...... I never for one season expected to do anything with these projections or beat the "experts" or be the best the 21st Century has to offer as far as the best Analytical/Statistical mind of the 21st Century as far as Baseball has to offer vs the whole industry and the "experts".......
All I did was listen, follow and hear what Baseball and Maths had to tell me...... And to show me and everyone else...... And listen and follow to a higher power, Providence/God or whatever one wants to call a higher power or Baseball or Maths or whatever......
And to this day and not for some time will anyone be able to show, explain or understand this game better than me short of Billy Beane or Sarah Langs in the 21st Century......
The best lesson I have learned from the game is that Baseball isn't just a game...... ImO it's a way of life and it has a lot to show us about life and how to live life.

ALS awareness matters on..... and off the field...... Lou Gehrig Day or not...... IMO with todays technology maybe an advancement is right around the corner and you never know.....
Remember it's been well over 70-80 years since Lou Gehrig was diagnosed and to this day there is no real cure for ALS....... maybe there isn't a cure but despite that IMO people like Sarah Langs are truly an inspiration not just in the real work she does in the sport not out of a need to be "better" or to do anything amazing really...... but just out of a real love for the sport
The work and dedication Langs brings to the sport is equal to that of Astrophysicist or Brain Surgeons or something....... she simply shows us things about the sport it's trying to tell us and not many others or anyone else can see really...... and for no other reason but for a love of the sport.
Even Shohei, Judge, Trout and anyone else would agree and tip their hat to Miss Langs and all the work she does.
Maybe there isn't a cure today or maybe there won't be one tomorrow.......
But that doesn't stop Langs or hinders her in any way and she is simply the best in Baseball.
Reporting/journalism/statistics/analytics....... No one on the planet is better than Miss Langs and she is the best at what she does ^_^
