Honestly I called it in the 7th...... McNeil was on a career high 10K..... Giving a quality start already.... What more did you want....it was time to cash in on that quality start before pushing your luck..... But Mendoza pushes his luck.... Maybe his luck will change tomorrow when Soto comes back to try to clean up this mess..... The Mamdani Curse continues 😡


 
I mean it's another season spending above the luxury tax and Dodgers money or in Cohens case setting a pile of 370 million dollars on fire and watching his team burn to the ground..... It's a combination of spending too much on Soto and Williams ...... Getting rid of Glue pieces like Alonso, Nimmo etc etc....not reigning in Lindors WokeTard BS and wife that is the Anti-Glue....... I mean after todays game and Mendozas failure to cash in on McNeils quality start......



I mean IMO it's already over given this loss now and it sucks but that just may be reality just like last season unfortunately.... The team is even worse than last season and they didn't make Postseason.... And spent 340 million then.... The problem here isn't that money is being spent.... The problem is that it's not being spent well or smart as per my WAR-RATIO.


In that case that's also front office staff too or even Mendoza or other staff with a set it and forget it cookie cutter BS mentality.... If you spent your money smart that works like with the Dodgers for example...... But if you don't like the Mets..... Then you have this...... Somethings gotta give :dunno:

Probably the most influential and most relevant expert in Baseball of this century.......had nothing to do with Baseball or ever even watched a game in his life......



Although I did develop the WAR-Ratio I never would have figured it out if it wasn't for Jim Slater.......and adapting his PEG-Ratio to Baseball.........a British accountant, financial invester/analyst from the 70's.........



The WAR-Ratio and the perspective it brings is at the core of my Top FA's for 2024 and Baseball in general in 2023/2024/2025 in regards to my projections and its been shown to be a far superior method vs whatever other method or conventional wisdom the "experts" at the MLB/ESPN/MLB on Fox/Verlander etc etc have used for the last 100+ years or however long ^_^

At the heart of the WAR-Ratio is the mindset of foregoing the Juan Sotos, Aaron Judges and well even the Ohtanis or Trouts of the world.......


While these players are fantastic and anyone would have them they are already valued at market price or just arent a viable choice given the money they cost for some teams......


At the core of the WAR-Ratio method is the need to indetify undervalued players in order to simply get the most back on WAR to increase Total Team WAR like one would buy a stock to get the highest return on their investment.



One can also recreate a Trout, Judge or whoever "in the aggregate" using this approach and method and its been my approach to how teams should be built. You can also probably get more WAR for less money this way too and not have all the eggs in one basket.


Jim explains it best in how he approaches Monopoly.



Due to the way the game works and the arithmetical return for what you pay you actually land on the orange houses a lot more that bring a lower return and cost less due to the "Go to Jail Card" and other cards that help you get there faster or land on the orange houses more for more and even higher returns after landing in jail or cards that make you walk back and land on orange houses again and win faster.........


The same logic is applied when using WAR with Jim Slaters PEG Ratio in this sense with Baseball and picking FAs using the WAR Ratio in that you pick players that stand a higher chance of bringing a higher return in terms of production and wins with WAR with their cumulative WAR and the cost for that WAR and the highest returns given the opportunity cost.


In Monopoly due to the rules you land on orange houses more and stand to win more buying oranges houses..... undervalued players are the orange houses in today's game and in the MLB.....forget about the more expensive blue houses and the others....


Many people don't know that about Monopoly.......or Baseball and the MLB nowadays ImO.....

Yeah man...... I mean we talked about it a couple times and on paper they looked good..... But yeah there was the Glue factor.... Where there is no Glue holding the team.... You could tell from last season and failing Postseason.... Shit didn't make sense. But it does now..... Now that everyone knows what happened behind the scenes.....


Remember the rumors about Devers...... And how he wasn't a Glue dude..... And they got rid of him and they did better and Red Sox made Postseason..... Giants got Devers, were in Wild Card and then lost their position after they got him. There is no tangible way to measure it..... But it's a feeling and well Glue matters.


And now we know Lindor and his wife are kind of the heat gun that removed the glue with Woke BS..... Destroyed the team.... Because when push came to shove..... The team and organization went with Lindor, Mendoza and the other presumably Woke fuckers on the team and Front Office..... And got rid of Nimmo, Alonso and other Glue.....

A team can look good on paper but if there ain't no Glue.... It just falls apart like shitty IKEA furniture....

But yeah..... I mean fucking Glue, it really fucking matters and Brian Kenny at MLB Network is also big on Glue. It's a really undervalued thingy thing thing..... Whatever it is.... Teams need Glue Guys and Glue :dunno:

This has been going on a very long time
Manager after manager. Trade after trade and nothing changes.

I think we had 5 managers in the last 15 yrs

Sometimes i really think the game is fixed. They're told when to win and when to lose.

With all the sports betting its making more sense to me that its being controlled

9 games out with 3 weeks in tells the story

Even if they turn it around they have no heart to get through the playoffs.

They'll just get blown out or fold in tight games

I don't want to say it's fixed but say..... There are rules on players not betting..... But is there a rule for that for Front Office and others in the organization or in just sharing information..... Wink wink 😉


In any case it's not just about chemistry in the team itself but Front Office as well and above that competence. Both are important but damn be chemistry if you have competent people doing what they have to do..... And to that effect for all the money they spend and they have the Mets Front Office has a bankruptcy/deficit of both competence and chemistry..... I would start there and that is kind of like where the cancer is..... The Front Office..... Mendoza may be fired and don't be surprised but that wouldn't really solve anything at this point given the structural/organizational issues with the Mets here.....

This and a competent staff neither of which the Mets seem to poses unfortunately at the moment....... for how smart the "smartest" guys in the room at Citi Field and Front Office are and all the money they spend, you'd like to believe they know and are fully aware of that by now :dunno:



But yeah chemistry and "Glue" don't hurt either but if you don't have competent staff or strategy..... Yeah its even worse and nothing can save you then as per example of the 2025 Mets and now the 2026 Mets unfortunately. Sorry man, it's a tough one.

It's hard to explain but a lot of crazy things happened here that unfolded like a story that you were already told and knew exactly what was going to happen before it happened...... But to actually see it unfold.... I've seen some pretty unbelievable things and few more unbelievable than this Mamdani Curse and this game...... You have to see it, to believe it 😳
