Great it's not illegal but if we are seeing the new bats enhance a players natural ability, using techniques such as shifting the weight closer to the handle in some manner for a lighter swing feel and techniques that made other bats in college before illegal in the sport....... lets just recognize the facts..... it's not illegal but it is exploiting a glitch/hack in current regulations.....

Why were metal/composite baseball bats that shifted the weight from the top closer to the handle made illegal in college baseball at some point or why was it an issue in any regard.......
Because it changed the "balance point" or "sweet spot" of the bat in simple terms and allows for faster swings that you normally wouldn't have.....When the weight is distributed closer to the hands or handle, the bat has less momentum and inertia meaning it will feel easier to swing........ even though the total weight of the bat hasn't changed.....
This is a concept known as bat balance.
A bat with more weight towards the barrel will feel heavier when swung more end-loaded. One with more weight towards the handle will feel lighter and quicker to swing and more balanced or handle-loaded. So moving the barrel closer to the middle can create a more balanced feel and make it feel lighter to swing and that brings faster bat swings, harder hits, and faster exit velocity and more power......
Essentially there are no such regulations in the MLB regarding the balance point of a wooden bat and absent of any given current regulations these New Juiced Yankee bats are completely legal.

I couldn't explain why Devers looked so bad as I noted since Opening Day as what I described as a deformed/contorted Leaning Tower of Pisa body when Devers was AB but Dero explains why......
He isn't happy getting moved from 3B to DH and he only had 15 AB in Spring Training and his body just isn't set up right to succeed when he is in the box for either or both reasons which ever it is. His body just isn't right in the box and that leads to his current .000 Batting Average and going 0-16........
I mean on Opening Day you could see that body from a mile away in that box and know there was something wrong.
