He will hit 40 + HRs and get 40 + stolen bases and whack plenty of balls to get on base, rake up plenty of RBI, as well as bring a top tier and 1st class defense for the Braves.......

March 29th 2023..... a day before Openeing Day in America.
Pretty much AL MVP and AL Cy Young projections in a nutshell where I projected Cole as a top 3 pitcher along with Ohtani...... no "expert" had Cole on their top 10 even short of Sarah Langs and that's it...... only Sarah Langs had Cole on her list and even I projected him higher....... nvm what Ohtani did that season and the MVP he won and I projected ahead of the "experts"......
I also projected Snell for NL Cy Young before the "experts" and Acuna Jr for NL MVP.......

As amazing as Ohtani is as a two-way let's just look at the pitcher. The hitter showed us he can still hit it out of the Tokyo Dome and into the moon at the WBC but the pitcher this is the part I feel many still overlook or don't appreciate.
But yeah again putting Ohtani the hitter aside let's look at the pitcher last season. Ohtani was the K/9 leader at 11.87 K/9, top 90th percentile of players with a whiff percentage in the low to mid 30s, averaging a 97mph fastball with 100+mph in his pocket when he really wants to get nasty, don't forget about his deadly sliders and his sinker with 19-21 inches of plate displacement.
Ohtani be making them see things that just aren't there when he wants with mirages or just hurls a comet right past them for the K's.
He showed no signs of slowing down or regression all to the end. The losing streak had it's down falls but what it unleashed in Ohtani the pitcher was a force unlike any we have seen in a while and he even went toe to toe with legends like Nolan Ryan chasing 7 straight starts with 10 Ks or more. He only got 6 but he won all those in a row something Ryan never did and only matched in modern times by Pedro Martinez. He not only did that but he chased a no-hitter on top of it.
Your going to see Ohtani chasing Nolan again and maybe matching and surpassing that 7 consecutive game 10 + K streak, were going to see him get a lot more praise from Pedro Martinez and we are going to see him chase that no-hitter again and he's going to get it. With more games he's going to play, tighter mechanics in the MLB vs himself in the NPB, the strike out rate and an even better projected ERA which in reality will be better than projections Ohtani is looking not just at MVP, he's looking at Cy Young in a tight race with Cole and DeGrom but again and I know it sounds crazy but after getting a taste last season he's looking at that No-Hitter too!!!!
He's going to be every pitchers envy and every batters nightmare!!! A real cold blooded killer behind the mound and a fire breathing dragon unlocked from it's cage with more games expected to be played as a pitcher in 2023 than in 2022......he's just a filthy animal and he's getting even filthier and nastier for 2023...

Currently leading the MLB and NL in HR, AVG, OPS and SLG Ohtani is defying all expectations and projections yet again...... Setting the tone for another MVP but this one looks to be even more amazing than the last even though he's not pitching.......
He is nearly 100 points higher in AVG than projected, 50 points higher OBP than projected, 100+ points higher for projected SLG AND 150+ points above projected OPS.......and hes on pace with 11HR and 2.4 WAR so far to do some really disgusting things this season with projected and on pace for 57-58+ HR and 10-11+ WAR and thats not even factoring June and July conditions......
He may even break Gioncarlo Stantons NL record for most HR in a season during the Statcast Era.....
The only other real comparison to Ohtani relative to the times/eras and taking the type of player he is being a two way and coming off from pitching and just focusing on hitting in a historical context really is Babe Ruth at this moment......maybe there needs to be a separate league for this guy and a higher MVP award like MLB MVP, Diamond MVP or Platinum MVP or something like that but until such award exist NL MVP will do nicely given Ohtanis pace ^_^
