Love it! Great color. What headstock shape and pickups did you choose?

Looks killer! I thought he put the front strap button on one of the neck screws? That's where I got the idea to do that on my Star build. The strap buttons haven't yet been installed in the pics but I guess I expected to see the neck screw one. Lol, probably supply chain bs!

I like that little ramp at the neck plate area so it's not so thick there. My Star is pretty thick there but I do like the belly cut...I'm old.

Yellow star. Love everything about it except,.. no strings….

Love this thread. I had a build with the brass bridge, and the way the base plate slid up and down the mounting screws during trem use (rather than pivoting) made the guitar impossible to keep in tune. I ended up grabbing a Wudtone trem. It looks totally 6-screw stock - but it has recessed bevels above and below the screw holes in the base plate so it pivots on a single fulcrum point. Return to pitch is amazing with the Wudtone. Am I correct that Gotoh has implemented the recessed bevel feature in their 6-screw traditional trem?

Yes, the front strap button will be on the neck screw.

HAs anyone here played both a Star and an Explorer? Are there any similarities due to the body styles.
