1. Shitty bar, to which I never go, here in Fort Wayne.
2. $11 for a shitty manhattan in a tiny tiny tiny glass.
3. No Randalls in sight. Word was, it was feeding back too much for his tastes?
4. He was rocking an SLO and a 100 watt Plexi with an ultimate attenuator
5. He used the thinnest cable I've ever seen from guitar to pedal board. maybe George L's
6. Just an SM57 on each cab.
7. pedals = TS9, Phase 90, Electric Mistress flanger, HUGE Boss EQ from the 70's, Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble (the one nobody uses), T Rex Replica Delay, some wah.

Lynch sounded killer. It was a punchy, full, grinding sound.

Of course, it was a bunch of really lame new metal shit tuned to C. EVERYTHING was tuned to C.

The singer looked like the Ministry guy. He sang with a pitchfork in front of his face. I think it was like a facemask for protection. I'm sure people have thrown bottles at the guy.

The other guitarist sounded awesome. Boss CE2, Boss DM2 delay, a pair of Purple Marshall Plexi 100 watters. I thought his tone might have sounded just a bit better than Lynch's.

Most interesting Lynch report I have ever read

My mother-in-law drinks Manhattans :scared:

They all go back to Marshall.

Yeah, I think every guitarist between 27-40 was there last night.

not a lot of chicks.

Last time I went to see Vai I am scared for my wife due to the massive sauage fest

that's because he was none other than Jimmy Wigle of Groove Tubes.he's touring with an early 70's purple Marshall JMP and one of his full-sized Purplexi 100 amp heads, side by side...i talked to Jim just before he departed on tour w/Lynch...later tonite,i'll post some really cool pics of him jamming live with the band that he was kind enough to send me

so guitarslinger, approx how many Dokken/Lynch Mob songs were played in the set :gethim: :D

I should have a similar experience on the 20th. the small shitty bar that I never go to part anyway. It will be beer and bourbon for me though. My guess is that not a single hot chick in sight either. Unless, some other guitar geek brings one.

Since I just have Dokken's greatest hits, I didn't hear anything I knew.

It sounded like Coal Chamber with Lynch playing guitar.

I'm digging the new Lynch Mob, better than anything he's done since the early 90's besides L/P. They both probably sound good because they are using stock plexi NMV amps with boosts, no high gain preamp fizz going on with those guys.

U BASTARD  ...BUT I WANT PREAMP GAIN FIZZ

Nothing wrong with a MV JMP either. Just turn that MV up.

I originally did not like the new Lynch Mob at all, but recently I've grown to like it. My wife listens to it a lot in her car.

HEy bro, pm me your # and we'll hook up. My buddy is opening for Lynch so maybe we can get a meet and greet

Speaking of Vai, I saw him saturday night at a tiny crap bar called universal bar and grill in universal city. He was there seeing some friend play, and heard him talk about a tour as a trio coming up.
