When my son first started playing he had one just like that but in yellow. Its long gone and now he has my 1979 hardtail strat and 1972 Martin D-28s. He is gigging in the Philly area and the bands name is Women.

Id love to get ahold of one of the Steve Stevens models, Day Glo or whatever, that was a great guitar!!!

Do they go for big $$$ used nowadays?
yes

I've wanted a hamer californian since 1994.

ever since the caparison, 27 fret mania, the californians have gone through the roof.

I remember years back now, when i had the chance to pickup a Californian for a lot less than they go for used now... Its typical how you miss out on a deal due to low £££, and then when you do get the cash together, the prices go thru the roof!!!

Like for example i remember back in like 99 or so, me and my dad managed to score a mint original sound city 100 stack for £100 from a local guy. He offered me a 1970 strat in natural finish, not mint but still decent condition, for £500. I knew nothing about strats back then and passed on the deal

He is talking about the Steve Stevens model.

Freaking knockoffs

I dont know why but I think that finish looks cool.

Ejecta, yours is equally as cheesy and cool at the same time! Id rock it on stage. :D

Where'd you find that pic? That is a cool (even though it's cheesy) looking guitar IMO.
