Well it looks that they countered that.
And the Marshall at 29.5" is apparently smaller than the Marshall cabs are now (29.92").

Not sure if marshall ever changed the size of their 1960 412 cabs... I have various years and they are all the same... head boxes stayed same too.. perfect match

I'll play (as an owner of the MKI 6L6 5153 50W)

Optional goodies:
-2nd master volume for leads
-onboard (digital) reverb like the Engl Ironball, with a mix/level knob on the back.
-maybe a powersoak (50W/5W/1w) with speaker-sim/IR loader on board, but that's pushing it. I could do without.

Then get the combo...the last two are included...and I will say you can have two master volumes by boosting the blue with an overdrive, and used the red only for a boost in leads and saturation.

Here's what I love about the EVH ones....Controls are much more responsive, you can almost get liquid bogner like tones with presence more reserved, and you can get in your face stuff. All you guys looking for a stealth model, hold off. A trick you can do is buy a Mercury Magnetics Power cable...the super duty. I owned the 6L6 stealth and the 2x12 EVH combo at the same time. While the Stealth had so much low end on the red that it was damn near bad, the blue was also way more tight and almost gated sounding. SO, when you add the mercury power cable, you get way more tightness and lows/highs. getting it way close to the Stealth, so I sold the stealth. You cannot go backwards bringing the stealth more back to the original.

as for what I'd like to see...maybe better quality control in the EVH series(mine is currently down, and I'll get it fixed after this), but all tubes amps have broken down on me....Splawn, Peavey...something is always gonna happen. The only other thing that might be cool is a "Sag" switch/control.

So the 6505 isn't close enough ?
I've owned a handful of 5150's..head and combos.
My current 6505 head is the same thing, same circuit.
This has been discussed many times.

I want the Marshall kerrang, and EL34 power section, Jose inspired amp but high quality. Like a well made VTM I guess.

No, I'm not doing combo's for gigging. Heads only and 24" width or smaller.
Also your 2nd point doesn't give the same results as a 2nd master.
If you boost blue with a drive, you won't increase actual volume (maybe a pinch), but mostly gain, compression and saturation. And the whole point is to make the awesome blue tone LOUDER. Using red for that won't fly either, since Red sounds so different from blue.

I've countered most of this with tube rolling etc. so that my red channel sounds more open, less gainy, but it still has that plasticy thing going on in the mids, which Blue doesn't have. So even though Red has its own gain and volume controls, it won't give me a louder version of blue.

I had the 100 watt head and now have the 50 watt version

On the 50, I’d like individual presence and depth controls for each channel, I also would love more concentric knobs. Maybe make each channel have a separate EQ.

Channel 1- I’d like the green channel to be a little cleaner and creamier sounding. Have a old/ new mini switch for this.
Channel 2- Newly Added Brown channel. Slight breakup to full bore “everything on 10” JMP Plexi/ variac channel. This channel has its own set of EL34’s. The rest of the amp uses 2 6l6 valves.
Channel 3- The blue channel stays mostly the same, an added mid-scoop/ normal/ mid bump mini-switch would be cool.
Channel- The red channel. Add the mid scoop/normal/ bump switch. Ad a fat switch

Amp has a built-in echoplex, can be ordered in EVH candy-striped tolex.
