Nice.

I still have an original Kramer 1984. Of course I fucked it all up

I always wanted a Kramer, but then I got a Charvel instead. I still would take an old Kramer at the right price.

Can we order these on the CS Charvels?

Yes, you can. But these are still in short supply. Charvel doesn't have them. You would have to buy one and send it to them, yet you wouldn't get a discount for providing the bridge. My suggestion would be to order your Charvel with an Original Floyd Rose on it and when it comes, pop the brand new Floyd off of that guitar and pop the "1984" one on and sell the one that came on your guitar for close to the price of the "1984"

Will these retrofit a Schaller Floyd? Ive heard that the post spacing is different on Floyds Vs Schaller floyds and as I have a body that Im fairly sure( not certain LOL) had a Schaller floyd( which I cant find in my place!!!!) I need to know...

If they'd make the old floyd without the fine tuners for us guys with locking tuners, I'd be all over it!

I think they still make them for the Japanese market, not sure. I remember my Fernandes Gillis strat had one.

Those are beautiful. Would it drop in to the US Prod Charvel San Dimas/So Cals?

Kage,
It is a direct drop in. The Warmoth site lists the stud spacing on the Schaller Floyd and the Original Floyd at exactly the same 2.013".

Yes, it drops right in. I already tried this.

According to these specs by Warmoth, the spacing is the same but the routing appears slightly different. You could call them about the rout to verify.

Any new German Floyd is cool, but...

They are charging more money for the same brass fine tuners, without the black plating that EVERY vintage 1984 Floyd had/has? I think they look strange without the black fine tuners.

Cool but there are reasons for some of the changes, it's funny to see the "retro" thing being touted.
a) I would never want that arm assembly again after dealing with them back in the day. Hated the bolt thing.
b) the "big block" is great for some guitars, but really deadens certain guitars. if it resonates well and sounds loud and clear without the big block - steer clear ... german floyd blocks are brass with nickle plate and are not just thinner to cut cost the whole package resonates and sustains pretty well as is.
c) the black fine tuner look better (IMO), and will wear over time anyway to give that brass look on the edges

i have one of ther old ones without fine tuners, i will trade it for one with the fine tuners.

They are not charging more at all for the fine tuners. It has a big brass block on it. That's what they're charging more for and depending who you got your quote from (not me in this case) you might be surprised at how affordable it is and you don't have to disassemble your Floyd Rose to install the block either. Buy a new Floyd from Warmoth and a brass block from FU and you are spending more.

So if you think it looks strange, you wouldn't buy it. I think it looks cool. I would never buy a gold Floyd Rose. I think they look strange. But that's not to say they shouldn't exist.

The arm is easily replaced with the newer arm and assembly for $15 and there are quite a few guys who actually want the old school style arms. Sell the brand new, old style arm and assembly on ebay for $15.

I could see a baby diaper polisher saying this, I am way used to seeing brass fine tuners.

Collectors I could see not liking that, I love it and hope they get pitted, tarnished, and nasty looking.
