The new XTC Anniversary in da house

I wonder if the Anniv. model is going to me more aggressive than the 101b...I've heard that the 100b which it is based off was the most aggressive of the Ecstasy line.

Rob, it would be cool to hear the EL34 version vs. the 6L6 version if you have both.
 
u guys want me to wait til i get a el 34 version. im goin down to bogner on mon, maybe i can get one.

Yeah, I vote to wait, too (if you find out that you can get one on Monday). I'd like to hear what the differences are, because I'm an EL34 guy, but apparently this amp was designed around 6L6's.
 
Been waiting too long now, let's fire up that box and do some cool vids/clips :rock:

Actually it doesnt look like much, Industrial park in North Hollywood. Very non decrepit. Here is a video of a dude at the Bogner World HQ :thumbsup:

 
I'd rather hear the 6L6 now and the EL34 when you get one in... and just compare videos:)

I was picturing some kind of "Santa's Workshop" view with all these guitar techs hard at work with soldering irons and tolex glue while Alice In Chains and Jerry Cantrell albums are playing in the background all day long, every day . . . with a half-crazed Reinhold Bogner running throughout the space telling everybody what they're doing wrong . . . ha ha ha ha "PUT ZAT DOWN AN' LEESEN TO ME!!! . . . "

Man, I recorded my first Bogner Ecstasy 101B tracks last night with the Bogner Cube just to see what it sounds like and I gotta say . . . these people know what they're doing. At every stage of the game, the knobs, the EQ, the Cube itself . . . I am just amazed with the quality of the machine itself . . . it's VERY good. I've never seen an amp that was so easy to make sound nice. You vary it in some way and then I think "yeah . . that sounds good too!! . . . change it again . . . "yeah . . . that works!!"

I think I'm gonna have to start sending Chuck Valentine's Day cards just for selling it to me. ha ha ha ha!! Chuck is a good man.
 
Why not just do the vid with the 6L6 version? Obviously, somebody at Bogner liked it with 6L6's. :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

I've heard some like the EL34 and some like the 6L6 at Bogner. :confused:
