This thing sounds massive. I have and have had a lot of nice amps. What I’ve kept is an OR15 and a 90s Dual Rec and a Diezel Herbert MKII.

This thing can hang with any of them, no boost, no gate, nothing. It just fuckin SLAPS.

For as popular as the 5150/6505 series was, I still have rarely seen them come in for repair. In fact I think I have only worked on a 6505 series closed back combo.

I still remember the first time I played the OG 5150, born in a time when a lot of amps (other than Mesa) needed a boost to really grind out peak hi-gain.
