The OG returns. Again

Lots of haters on those cabs and speakers, I loved them with my OG's, the XXX and the JSX back in the day. I had 3 of them, two straights I used for rehearsals and live gigs when I could get away with 2 4x12's and I had a slant that I used at gigs with smaller stages so I could hear myself back in the day.

I had an old 5150 slant cab for years. Back in like 2003 I think I paid $500 for a block letter half stack!

That cab honestly sounded great with the matching head, but turned to mush with every other high gain amp I had. I could’ve saved myself a ton of time & money by just ending my tone quest with the OG half stack.

Same boat. Had a few of the OG heads for years. Now I just have a 50w, that kinda does the thing.

Yeah the 50w head really is great, and manageable at home volume with no attenuation involved. When I compare recordings I’ve done vs the old 60w combo though, the old one just sounds a little bit better.
