Hi guys,

as many of you know, the nice folks at Retro-Sonic make great pedals, I got their Stereo Chorus on the advice of Steve Stevens and it's a real winner!

I put together a quick demo of it, all the guitars on here were played through the pedal. The main guitar is my Suhr Sparkle T through a Divided By 13 RSA 31 and FTR 37, in stereo.

The moody slide/melody guitars are all a LP Standard through the pedal set on "vibrato" and the amp is a Badger 18.

Enjoy!

Sounds killer Pete! I have been wanting a Retro Sonic chorus for a while now. Is this a recent one? I heard the old ones have a different chip in them that are no longer available and that they sound more accurate to the Boss CE-1.

Besides the types of tones in your clip, is this pedal capable of doing that 80's type chorus with distortion?

Thanks

Very nice, I am not a chorus fan because of Zakk Wylde, but that was cool. By the way, how is my Top Hat script logo hanging? :D

I think it must be a recent one as the early ones were not stereo.

I really wanted that pedal but finding one used was hard and the ebay bidding wars were crazy :(

Great clip Pete, thanks.

A guy did a head to head comparison and agreed, the Retro was a bit darker than the old CE-1...but the Retro is true bypass which is a big bonus.
I like the MXR Stereo chorus' effect, but when it's simply in line and off it colors the sound too much for me. Might try my MXR again, maybe mix up the order of pedals a bit see if it helps.

If you still have the MXR, try the re-order, I cannot find any tone suck with that pedal especially compared to the other MXR pedals I've had.
Here's that video comparing the Retro Sonic to the original CE-1, the CE-1 is definitely brighter.
