The SLO happy dance and resulting carnage

The brand spanking new red-headed SLO arrived today. It has the Hayne's, DeMartini scoop, and Depth factory mods. This is the best amp I have ever had the pleasure of plugging a guitar into and works for me in every way. Big, thick, thumpy, grinding, crunching rhythms and smoking hot leads with no fucking about. All this, and I haven't even replaced the SOVTEK 5881's yet!

I will be updating the Amp Carnage Sale listings when I get time and I will set up for some clips. I can tell you all this....every other amp I own is for sale, and I mean all modded Marshall's. Those of you that know what I have, feel free to PM me decent offers until I get updated. I think I can get some stuff back to the US too.

Going back into the cave right now and disturb the peace and destroy the silence. :rock:

:no: Steve just banged his first red head and went completely :loco: It will wear off some Steve. Please hang in there. I hate to see a friend in this condition :aww:
 
When I put some Winged 6l6's in my SLO it really didn't help. Dare say the Sovtek's give the SLO a nice crunch factor.

I'm leaving it just as it came from the factory. Plenty happy with it the way it is. I think the factory scoop/depth mods put this amp where it needs to be with Soldano's tube selection. I haven't even flipped it over to the crunch channel yet.

Can't say I'm surprised... the SLO is simply an amazing amp. The SLO tone is a classic. :rock:

I still have the Sovtek 5881s in mine, and have no plans on changing them anytime soon. Different preamp tubes will have a more noticeable impact on the tone fwiw. Wait till you hear the crunch channel... it hangs right there with anything else out there... it's a great sound in it's own right, especially with your guitar's volume rolled down a bit.

Nice amp, i owned a couple of them and thought they was great.
 
Does this mean you found the "ONE" amp for you? or do you feel you still need another amp paired with it?

Everything is for sale, except the SLO. One amp will likely be traded for another SLO.

Wow that is cool. Will be a huge relief for ya not gassing for other amps. Get a Slo with Snakeskin Tolex :D

Are you running it through the Bogner cabs?

I was going to get this one in Snake. Figured I would get tired of it quick. I don't care much for red to be honest either.....Will get a black shell somewhere along the way. the dealer I got it from stocks 5 or 6 different color shells and changes them for free. Big bargain :lol: :LOL:
