that 25-30 minutes down to 10 men was the most impressive effort i’ve seem the US put out so far. like a totally different team and intesnity.
but B/H was ranked 60-something so we had to win and they made us look good.
v Belgium, without our star striker Balogun, is a BIG ask.
win or loose, i believe the evolution of the USMNT program, the WC being held here hosting some amazing games and allowing newbies to witness the biggest names in person has sparked a true excitement and shift in the culture of this country embracing this sport.
i started playing when i was 10 and the game was fairly unpopular in the states, but went on to play club and hs, and adult league.
coached/commisioner/reffed all 3 of my kids who started at 5 and played club, hs, and adult leagues.
got galaxy season tickets early when becks arrived and landon was there and scored access to friendlies and tournaments —got to watch *prime* barcelona (messi, xavi, iniesta, henry, zlatan, puyol) real madrid (w/cristiano, bale, benzema, modric, ozil, di maria, ramos, castillas) , juventus with pirlo, inter milan with ronaldinho. and chelsea with drogba play live—gnarly!
great to see the US finally starting to get it!

This one went to 11..... Gotta feel for Germany but give it up to Paraguay. What a game, that's going to leave a big impact on fans, kids and the next generation.....

Well USA tried but yeah still got a ways to go to catch to the rest of these other guys in the sport.
A lot of errors too, the errors cost them the game and yeah the Belgians were on another level for sure.
Well played game by Belgium IMO and hats off to the better team.
