If your looking for thrash tones I'd recommend a Langner DCP-1 . Simple to operate and killer sounding and not something you see every day. I do know where you can get one tho.....
Have I really had that Titan pre FS for that long? It would suit thrash great, but the red channel you may find a bit much for that purpose without an external EQ.
If you wanted a Mak4, I would say wait until he gets done with his 2-space version. I cannot imagine it is that far away.
