Thinking about selling my diezel Blueface and Superbass

Gear regret is one of the worst things we gearheads can have. I've tried to find amps again twice, and the first versions of each couldn't be matched. If you love the way it/they sound don't do it.

I did this twice with the TC 2290, so I definitely agree with this.

I don't regret moving on from the VH4 I had. I'm a big Tool fan too, obviously. And Jones' sound is fantastic in the context of his band. But that's not the "tone" that works for me. The VH4's master volume is really good, though. I didn't have any problems getting a useable sound at TV volume levels.

So with the "Tool rig" I feel it's a one trick pony.
With my jubilee I've become a better player, I am learning some GNR and trying to learn scales and "understand" the guitar more so than just play drop d Tool covers.

Maybe I'm just over the Tool playing as its a bit boring for me at this stage in my life?

You don't HAVE to play Tool on the VH4.


You can also play Metallica.

Hmm..when I double boost my Jubilee I get modded Marshall tones all day. But, maybe a Wizard should be in your future?

Make sure you explore all your options. Seriously, that rig will be hard to replace if you ever decide to try and buy it back.

I would have said sell it last week. but I just sold an amp and it got damaged in shipping. I paid fedex to pack it and insured it so Im covered but it is just not worth the hassle.

keep the amps. work on playing different stuff.

If you just want to practice with your Diezel at low volumes with the two notes live into headphones you are in for a big let down. You will NOT get the same tones that you know and love.

Two notes may be good for recording with multi guitar tracks layered up. BUT if you can't play loud just get rid of the Diezel and get something software based like Amplitube which sounds pretty good from what I have heard.

Well negative Nancy I can safety say with very little time to dial in a sound I love it even when using the headphone out.
