A PRS custom 24 floyd with the artist upgrade. What do you guys think. I can get a huge chunk of change back for my green EVH. My EVH Stealth USA will be back next week from the factory so I think Ive got my bases covered at this point with EVH guitars. Its a rare color that Ill never own again but it might be time to move on

That's just such a tough guitar to replace. I don't know if I could do it. I'd find other means to get another guitar if I were you

I'll tell you that my biggest selling regret ever is my "blue" (more Aqua-colored) Axis. Sold it because I was endorsing ESP at the time and I almost never really got a chance to play it. Once it was gone I missed it immediately, and I've never gotten over it. Never found another one I liked as much as the one I had either. Sold it to some guy in Germany.

It might be partially a sentimental thing, since it was the guitar I played all of the early "Graves" gigs with… but it was a great guitar as well. Had a "Trans Gold" one as well (Amber) that was nowhere near as good as the Blue one.

don't do it. those ebmm's are so good and it will be difficult to replace. you may regret it and won't be able to do anything about it!

I sold my Aqua Blue EBMM EVH 2 weeks ago, and I've been pissed-off ever since! Even before the buyer left, I knew I had made a mistake. I found another Aqua Blue EVH which will arrive this Wednesday via UPS. I was informed that it may have a neck issue, but I won't know for sure until I inspect it. Mine was exceptional, with extreme flaming on both the neck and body. I had also replaced the brass block with a large brass block, which I left on the guitar. My fiance warned me not to sell it, but I didn't listen to her of-course... I sold it to get a white LPC that turned out to be a POS! I shipped the LPC back, so now I'm out the white LPC and my EVH. I paid $1300.00 for the EVH, and sold it for $1800.00, so I didn't do too bad. The case had "Badd Dogg" written all over it :scared: , and the clasps were rusty as hell.

This was mine... :aww:

* Removed pics to quell my disgust...

If its the blue one from guitar center then from what multiple people including a "tech" over there told me it does in fact have a neck problem.
I don't really have any sentimental attachment to this one, its more of the bragging right of owning one of the most wanted colors in the collectors circle with only 96 made. Ive owned ALOT of EBMM EVH's and also Axis' and they all play and sound fairly consistent.
I paid the collector price for this one because of the color(a little over $4k) and all Im doing is killing that collector value by playing it, and its getting plenty of play right now. I figure if I sell it and grab something else nice I can always get another EVH in player grade condition. decisions decisions
This is mine

It is the one from GC out of Ohio. I'm going to check it out on Wednesday. The fact that no one could tell me what exactly is wrong with the neck, made me think someone at the store may have wanted it.

That's a nice one, but it looks green to me.

I'd never never never sell a guitar I really liked to buy a guitar I haven't played. Really bad idea IMHO.

I'm living my mistake every day... As much as I love my LP's, the EVH had a thin fretboard that was so nice to play. The Axis is great too, but I prefer the EVH. If I could get a neck made to the same specs as the EVH to put on my Strat... Oh baby!

Don't do it!!! The EVH's sound better than the axis, I have a beat to shit faded purple one that I got in 2000 for 1400 and it is and always will be my best guitar, even though I have 5 les pauls and other guitars that cost more. There is something special about those guitars, everyone that plays it is instantly impressed and bonds with it. The balance of the guitar is the best I have ever played, also the neck is amazing as well. And the sound, ohhhhh the sound!!!!! If there is a EVH guitar that has a brown sound the ernie ball music mans are IT!!!! best sounding of the 3 EVH models!!!! without a doubt.!!

DO NOT SELL THAT!
these are getting harder and harder to come across and you may really regret it after the fact.
As much as the PRS is a outstanding axe, i would find another way to get it. ;)

Thing is he's not really in love with the guitar. If I'm undertanding him, it's just a collectors item. So if you can afford to keep it, great. But if there's a different guitar you want to actually play, then selling it isn't a bad idea to sell it. But I'd definitely try to play the PRS first, even if that means buying it and either just returning it if you don't like it or selling the EBMM after you've bought the PRS and decided to keep it.

It is trans green, one of only 96 made total during the entire EBMM evh run. That's why this color sells for a lot more than the more common colors like red, blue and Amber.

It looks great, but it would look even better sitting next to my Bogner Trop!

The Axis necks don't feel thin to me as much as they just feel small. They are rounded so they do live up to their broomstick nickname. I like them but wish they used bigger frets and I was never 100% comfy on the Axis body.

My bad. I actually meant thin, as in the width of the fretboard. The EVH frets are too short (height wise), and the Van Hagar era body is sort of goofy looking. It almost looks like a giant banjo... Not cool looking at all.

If it weren't for the neck, I'd have no interest in the EBMM EVH. If you believe that, I have some vintage TS9's to sell you!

I see Musikraft makes an EVH neck, but I don't know which EVH neck they're referring to? If I choose the 10" radius fretboard, this be the same as the EBMM EVH neck, I wonder?
