Thinking of building my own boost

Do eeet! I only buy boosts now with treble-mid-bass knobs in addition to level & drive. Just allows for the perfect tweak for most any amp.

I recently built the BYOC Green Pony and love it. It was a very easy build because of their instructions. Looking forward to building more and someday an amp.

Where do you buy your parts?
Most of the cheap common stuff I get from Tayda. More of the Transistors / IC chips and such I normally get from Small Bear. Sometimes I will order from Mouser for weird hard to find parts. Those 3 cover most things. I have had to get specific BBD chips and such from other places like CabinTech.

Go for it man! Looks like a fun project. And not too terribly complicated.

What are you going to do when Small Bear shuts down. I think they are closing soon.

I figure someone else will step up and offer some of the unique things they offered.

However, I bought extras of some of the things I liked from them, and honestly, after building so many pedals, I can't think of anything else to build, lol.

yeah man do it!! awesome to build/tweak pedals. I’ve built several, also had a bunch of fun modding SD-1 pedals.

Make a bunch of them. Call it "The Brown Sound Box" and watch the punters punt.

I'm with ya Smashed, I built a single control
Bionic-Boost with a guitar pick flathead
screw counter sunk in the housing
for the secret sauce.
Yes, there's a Lee Majors graphic on the pedal.
F*** how everybody does it.
Time for new shit man.
I'll get a pick whenever I'm over by it.
But I don't even look at it until I need
to step on it.
Yeah man it's a f'n boost.
But it boosts frequencies that range
from psychotic to pretty boy floyd.
I can't wait for the Dumble enthusiast's
to f'n step on it and hear & feel what it
does to their f'n Dum'bells.
Turn that amp off and walk home boy.
