This Baron sounds killer

This sounds so good to me. Has that certain "sheen" to it. That ultra clear ringing sound (which I also hear in some Cameron clips), almost like there's a touch of chorus mixed in.

I have yet to hear a bad Baron clip. I'll caveat that by saying they are usually YouTube clips which I allow some leeway for inconsistency. For a hand built amp from the good ol' US of A the prices are reasonable as well.

These were a real "flavor of the month" over at HCAF about 2 years ago.

I kind of agree. In lighted rooms the big lexan with LED's look crappy and the metal grill just looks cheap. There is a croc tolexed amp on the Baron site that looks pretty classy though.

To be fair, in a nice dark room the clear lexan with LED's looks cool.

Keep in mind that the cosmetics are specked out by the customer. The acrylic LED panels were a request by customers and it caught on.

Funny most people hate the croc look. I get many comments on how awful it is! LOL But I have made three that way for 3 customers on request.

So everyone has different tastes

Flavor of the month at HCAF or not, the K88 I stumbled across a few years ago is the most fun amp I've ever had. And I think the clear look is kick ass. Just wait until you see the lighting project I have going on with mine at the moment. Going to be so obnoxious. It's at my tech's place as we speak....

Are you able to do the Baron logo LED illuminated but with a solid front panel? That would be the bees knees. I get what you're saying about customer demand. I like the croc one. Reminds me of my Avenger.

Hey man, I don't mean flavor of the month in a bad way. A few dudes went nuts over the Baron stuff and had many folks tire kicking. I really wanted the MII 100 (I thnk that was the model) and was also looking at the K88 but I had a lot going on and funds were scarce.

Outside of my Splawn stuff, Baron is one of the only other amp I look at when eWindow shopping. I respect the hell out of the dudes like Friedman, Henning, Rhodes and the like but Andrew at Mako, Scott Splawn and of course Dave at Baron are making great amps here in the US and keeping them affordable to boot. Of course I understand that "affordable" is a relative term.

I have not heard one bad clip of a Baron amp. With all the variables with YT clips it is remarkable to have all of his amps sound great! It tells me the amps are very consistent.
