Trump signed that in his last term with the expectation that all parties would hold up their end of the bargain. That would have been fair and beneficial for all parties. The US held up their end, too bad no one else did. You don't want to stick to the original deal and try to get a free ride; now it's time to pay the piper.
Please show me the details...what exactly did Canada not hold up to??? I am confused.

Edit: One thing I can agree with Trump on is Canadian government has severely underfunded our military....not anyone's fault but the governments....it is sad state, but...I think Trump has lit a fire under their asses and we are going to see our military get some desperately needed funding soon.

If you want to put a label on me and call me leftist just because I don't agree with you about Trump I find that a bit shallow. Those are just labels and I can think for myself. That's why I don't belong to a cult of personality which is a fact about Trump...but people are in denial about that. I don't have extreme views like you guys the right have. Now that's extreme. I could say the same thing about you being a paid shill for the extreme right.

As far as Trump wanting to conquer Canada and you finding it hilarious...we Canadians don't find it hilarious and it only makes the situation worse for both sides. But that's what you voted for is an insane old man whose only looking out for himself. That's pretty pathetic for the US which deserves better.
I agree. These guys don't get it, but Canadians pump billions and billions into us economy...that is going to dry up. Florida ( hint many Canadians own properties there)....is in a housing crisis, market collapsing as lots of Canadians dumping their playhouses down in Florida....this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Personally, we traveled into the US at least 5 times per year.....spent a shit load of cash down there.....not really atractive any more. Many folks I know have canceled trips to US and are going to Europe instead.

Besides there is more history to see in Europe than there is in the US where it's nothing but shopping malls and suburbs which I find boring. Sort of the same thing here in our cities. I have friends also avoiding the US because of the risk of going there and being deported to Venezuela instead. :(

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck... You regurgitate every leftist talking point pretty much right on cue, but you're not a leftist, got it.

You're generally pretty level headed, but you been coming a bit unglued as of late. Maybe it's time to take a break from OTC.

This whole the US conquering Canada is one big troll. No one want to invade your country. You shouldn't let it get you so worked up that you now refuse to do something you've enjoyed. I wouldn't let what's going on stop me from visiting Canada if it were something I've been doing on the regular.

And you regurgitate every right wing talking point on cue yourself. Are you sure you are not a paid shill by the extreme radical right. You spend enough time on here proving that. Maybe it's time for you to take a break from OTC. Spend some time with family instead of neglecting them.

And like clockwork right out of the leftist playbook, accuse others of what you yourself are doing. :2thumbsup:

MAGA'sters are confusing trade deficits with "unfair" trade policy, which is just asymmetric protectionist trade policy on the part of other countries but not the US. Trade deficits are the result of American free trade, businesses wanting to make products more cheaply in other countries and US consumers insatiable desire for cheap crap. If anything, other countries that are taking US dollars "on credit" are the ones who are getting screwed, but it's still unsustainable for the US and needs to be addressed.

Mike, where is the "market collapse" in Florida? I shop property there constantly as most of my family lives there and I've often thought about moving back. One thing that's kept me from doing so is the inflated price of real estate so I'm not sure what you mean. Perhaps you could elaborate a little. There has been a national slowdown in sales thanks to interest rates but FL prices remain steep.

Those videos are either clickbait, speculation, or talking about rental price drops. I would like to see the evidence of a currently ongoing housing market crash. It's not happening right now.

There was a news piece I watched the other day and the Florida market was FLOODED with homes for sale...I forget the exact area iirc it was near Tampa....could have been clearwater or tarpon springs area???anyway, do a little digging it isnt hard. I have no dog in the fight....just what I have heard/watched....and supply and demand rules, weather we like it or not.

No dog in the fight either but I have owned a house in Florida, all my family save my brother lives there, and was there for the 2008 market collapse where just about every third home seemed like it was for sale. I lived there for about a dozen years total but like any good Floridian have moved into and out of the state three or four times. My cousin from CA even moved there just in time for Hurricane Helene.

Florida has a different dynamic than most states. The further north your go in Fl the farther in the south you are. I think part of the downturn is people aren't moving out of covid bros states like they were during the height of the frenzy. Also, people who did relocate got to experience some of Florida's finest storms just a year or two after moving, and, in conjunction with the end of covid restrictions, has caused a lot of those people to return to their place of origin. The storms have always kept Florida slightly more honest in that regard. It's always been a transient state. I would watch most of the employees turn over completely ever year or two. There were only a few of us that hung around the beach area for longer than that.

I'm seeing reduced prices in most of the areas I look at real estate, so it's not anything particular to FL. Everything is massively overpriced right now and has been since the covid days so it's hopefullly leveling off naturally to more realistic costs minus an actual crash. If you shop the gulf coast beach areas you will find a lot of homes gutted to the five foot high water mark that are for sale at exceedingly reduced prices, skewing the "average sale price" results by a good deal since those otherwise were very high priced homes. Now is the time to buy that affordable beach house you just gotta take the good with the bad next time the tidal surge happens.

@RGX_Custom
How freaking hilarious that you have no original thoughts of your own that you've resorted to just copying what I say and changing a word. I was joking around, but it turns out you really do need to be spoon fed how to think and what to say.
