This seem like a good trade?

I've got a buddy who wants to trade his Peavey 3120 in good shape for my Marshall 1960A Vintage that's in good shape. I don't really use the Marshall cab because I have a Marshall cab with Greenbacks, so I don't really need it or use it, but I also sorta don't need another amp lol Even though I loved the XXX when it came out and I never got one, and I could easily swap the tubes in the 3120 to 6L6 instead of the factory EL34s, I don't really need either piece of equipment.

What do you guys think the value/market is doing on either of these pieces of gear? I never get to use my Plexi (even with my Rivera Rock Crusher) cuz of my whiny bitch neighbor, but do you think it'd be a good idea to swap my cab for his amp? He really wants the Marshall with Vintage 30s, even though I've told him they're not "real" Vintage 30s, but Marshall spec'ed speakers, sorta like how Mesa does it, and he is fully aware that the cab is loaded with those.

I think I would do that, you probably wouldn’t get more than $500 if you sold the cab, the 3120s I’m sure are going for more than that and aren’t very common

Depends on what that amp is worth. I always like to have a V30 loaded cab around though. You may need that tone one day?? You may enter a new tonal phase where you're all about the Marshall 1960A Vintage.

It's a Marshall TV cab if it's the one he has listed for sale .

I would get the amp if you aren't using the cab. Its a fair trade so it's a matter of preferences

I feel like I’d prefer to have more amps than cabs vs the other way around.

So unless that Marshall cab has some special meaning to you I think I’d go amp
