Since it appears there's a nefarious plan to sicken people and damage their immune systems so they cannot eat red meat, milk and pork, we should share ways that we learn that can repel ticks.

What natural repellents are good for spraying around your home?

For home defense id call a licenesed pro if you want it to work.

Permethrin seems to work well for me during hunting season.
They've been really bad this year - I was bitten in April. I seem to take 1-2 off the dogs each week.. had 2 on one of them this morning.

Forgot to also mention this but you can also use diatomaceous earth and sprinkle it around the home. If you have pets, best to use food grade as it is non toxic to humans and pets. It’s like natures glass. It pierces the exoskeleton of bugs and causes them to dry out. So it is something they cannot build an immunity to because of the way it works.

The powder loses effectiveness from moisture so keep that in mind.

Date this and nothing will come near you

I use this anytime I see bugs at the exterior of my house. A bag has lasted me quite a few seasons and it even came with a dust applicator. Only downside is it must be reapplied after a rain. It works on ant mounds but the survivors will relocate.

Peppermint oil can be put on your clothes and it screws up the tick's navigation system.

It’s also super cheap which is a big plus. As long as the powder doesn’t get wet, it’ll keep doing its thing.

Do you UK guys even have to worry about this thing? Is this tick problem only in the States?

I heard somewhere that Gate's fake meat won't create an allergic reaction, but who would be dumb enough to eat it? Also heard they are working on a vaccine for alpha gal. I honestly didn't know that lyme disease was likely man-made decades ago.

It's not selling well but I was just watching that they are now selling stuff labeled "meat" and unless you read the fine print you won't realize it's "cell cultured" or "cell based" i.e grown in a petri dish. I'm reading the fine print on everything. Also, any fruit with an "Apeel" label has Gate's designed protective coating applied to it. I'd avoid it.

Funny because back in the 90's we used to joke about the McRib looking like it was grown in a lab around a mold....
