I've modded some Mesa rectifiers and come up with a mod that I really like. Channel 2 and 3 becomes super tight and way more dynamic than a stock Recto, you can roll back the volume on the guitar and get crisp clean with the gain maxed! The background noise/hiss is reduced as well, these amps have a bad layout problem which increases the background noise. Channel 1 is more crisp sounding and with the pushed-switch engaged it breaks up nicely without losing its character.

I'm playing my Hagström Swede -75 straight into the amp. The cab is a Malmberg 4x12 with greenbacks.

The Recto in the video is a 120V version and is for sale in Members Classified

Jesus... i like the sound of that amp

That is the best rectifier I've ever heard, and I love Rectifiers stock

Dang. How loud were you playing?

I find rector to be very tight when turned up loud. In fact, I find them too tight and they lose that bounce that is needed for touch sensitivity.

Amazing as always. Love your work. The Marshall and fender you modded sound unreal too. When can we expect you're production amp? I will definitely be purchasing one!

I'm not playing that loud, you can still hear the sound from my pick in the mic. This recto is this tight at any volume so you don't need to play loud at all to get this sound.

Really nice!

It sounds good for sure. Is this a multi watt or first gen 3 channel?
