30" scale will sound like shit for a high E. Also be too short for the low E in the bass register IMO.

What's next, 12 string guitars requiring no amplification and with octave and unison tuned strings ?

i still dont see the point of 8 string guitars...7s im ok with. but i still just tune down my 6 strings and they work fine. if i want to go lower ill just play the bass i have laying around!

you know, its funny. i can play stuff on piano with my right hand, but my left is unusable. on guitar, i use my left hand more than my right, and if i try to play left handed it doesnt work. come to find out, different nerves are at work when we play guitar than when we play a piano (palm upwards vs. palm downwards). Dave Mustaine had a problem a while back where he pinched some of the nerves in his arm and it killed his ability to play. he could use his hand when his palm was facing down, but not up.

maybe if i tried to train my left hand i could actually play piano...but the Chapman stick seems much more fun maybe a 10 string would be useful...lol
