I looking for a backup to my Splawn Nitro. I have already put a down payment on a Titan Custom 100. But I cant keep thinking that I would rather have a Uberschall or a Diezel. I'm in just a normal rock band. No metal or anything here, I just want to have good tone.

www.sheridanroadinc.com if you need a reference on what the band sounds like

I live in south Louisiana so playing either simply isn't going to happen.

The only thing that turns me off from the Diezel is that I can't seem to find a simple 4 button foot switch for it other than the Randall RF4. Which I hear has delay problems.

For all around rock/hard rock tones, I'd probably go with an Einstein. Possibly a modded Marshall? Friedman, Fortin, BFG. Never played a Titan.

Will a Einstein be able to match the low end of my Splawn? I have the KT88 version so it has massive bottom end. I know they guy from Shinedown uses a Herbert. So I was really thinking that or VH4.

i owned a nitro and it was a great amp and i also have a uberschall and that would be my choice, i have a diezel herbert and owned the vh4 and einstein but i will take my uberschall over them.

Just curious what do you like about the Uber more than the Herbert?

I could let you know about the Titan pretty soon. Mine has got to be close to being done as I placed an order in February. I don't play metal either. Just straight up rock, tho we can get into pretty heavy stuff. Everything sounds pretty bad ass from what I've heard (including cleans which is a must have for me) on it so I took a leap.

That's what I was thinking. There's quite a range of voicings across the amps listed.

what's the point of this thread?

it appears that you've made a deal to get a Titan?

I think the point is to, um. What was the question?

I really don't think you'll be disappointed in the Titan. It is one hell of an amp. Was more "metal" voiced in my opinion but was more than capable bringing the rocks

I LOVED my VH4. Only sold it because I moved into an apartment. With that said, if I were to be doing a project that needed straight rock n' roll tone, I'd pick up a Friedman mod. So smooth, so articulate, and yet at the same time crunchy and HUGE. Nothing does the rock better in my opinion.

I have made a deal with titan yes. But that doesn't mean I'm not in the market for the amp to complete my rig. I'm just trying to find that perfect amp to compete my live rig.

both amps are really nice but i like the bogner voicing better and i i also liked how it sounded with my band better than the herbert, the diezel has more options and tones and the clean ch is much better but i hardly use the clean when playing live, i been playing uberschalls since 2004. its a amp im very comfortable with and hasnt let me down.

i also liked my nitro with kt88 better than the herbert for playing in a band, i loved how the nitro sounded live.
honestly i like the herbert when playing alone but theres other amps i like better for playing live.

I have owned both an Einstein and a VH4 (still own it) and they both sound GREAT with massive low end.........

if I played more "hard rock" stuff I'd SERIOUSLY look into Titans....I've liked every clip from those amps so far.
