I like them all . They just each album have a diffent vibe . I honestly ignored that first bebsdyde I was touring then . I found them 8 years late . Dude their first real album call of the mastodon is so insane . I love it .

I feel sad now. I'll miss what they were with Brent. The Ashes of the Levitation shirt I got from the last tour I saw with Brent in the band was cut off me in the ER last year. I still have my shirts from the Levitation tour though, but that came to mean something to me after his passing.

Brent brought this whacky off kiltered old western side to his playing that maybe be copired live . But Brett’s feel was so diffent when he did . You felt like his solos might fall apart but don’t . Like Eddie VH . Not many people choose to play that freely anymore .

Well said. That chaotic edge was a big part of Mastodon. And wound up being self destructive, sadly.

Ya but they stayed together a long time those 4 . It’s bound to hsooy . I cabt imagine being in a band with sane 3 dudes exactly for 20 years . You’d kill each other at times. Lol but ya it’s still sad
