Testing a Tommy Folkesson (Swedish amp modder) modded Marshall. This is Tommy's four channel Class-A modd.

What amp was that before the mod? Sounds killer.

Tommy is one of my all time favorite Modders. I wanted him to Mod an amp for me but he wasn't keen on doing one for me because I live in the States and I gather that he has had some problems with the shipping and Such in the past. With that said, His work is awesome!!

Wow... That was great!
What speakers and what guitar did you use?

Hur mycket kostar en sån förstärkare färdigmoddad?

Celestion greenbacks.

One of the best modded Marshall tones I've heard on these forums. Very nice!

You know what? After reading some of your posts throughout the year and based on your description of what you like ,I reallty think that you would Love Tommy's work because of how he gets his distortion. It's my understanding that It is generated from driving a tube (Think of slaving built into the amp) It's like tube o/p distortion instead of massive preamp gain. it's pretty darn Clever IMHO

Whatever he does, it sounds pretty killer. It doesn't sound like it's crazy loud in the video though. :dunno:

It's actually my amp. It's a Marshall Super PA from -69. It's been heavily modified over the years but it still got it's original Dagnall transformers (the power amp is intact)

Definitely not crazy loud in the video as you can hear the string clanking. That's what's great about the Mod. You are getting your distortion from an overdriven power section but at manageable volumes. I'm also sure that the amp can get PLENTY Loud
