I have some Gibson burstbuckers.
I'll write "Whuskey on the back plate.
No one would be da wiser

Dang. Who would've thunk @scottosan pups would become desirable unobtanium.
I have a new 52mm Roxy that I plan to try in my LP, mostly due to you and @DanTravis62 suggestions. Waiting on strings to arrive.
Maybe someday I'll have a Whiskey to compare it to.
You'll be the first to know if I decided to flip the Roxy.

That is awfully nice considering you told me the same thing butthole.

The roxy is currently in my guitar now. The wicked 8 is awesome also. Shit...i think i have a psykes also laying around that i need to try. It is an embarrassment of riches kind of situation

Got a Roxy and a Sunset Strip. Both 53’s. Not going anywhere…great pups.
The Sunset is perfection in my Squier CV 70s HSS. The sound hangs with any of my much more $$$ guitars. The pickup simply works for about anything.

Just got in strings, so I'll be popping the Roxy into the Les Paul this weekend. Need to see what makes it the go-to LP pup for Jeremy and DanTravis.
Wondering what neck pup to pair it with. I have an SD Antiquity (great warmth and airiness, clarity), Godwood (bit more output and articulation), brighter ToneNerd A3 paf Scott wound when he was trying different materials more readily available in Okinawa (less character than his "Morning Wood" set built stateside, bit vanilla in comparison to the others, still has Scott's stamp).

We should hire him to build a "RigTalk" special for us:worship_gray:

Spoke with him a few times but never jumped:bash:

I bet the 52mm vers
50mm .
You'd probably wouldn't hear a huge difference

That's getting into Suhr Aldrich territory, with better tone.
Can always take the volume down to 8 just to cut off the high end a bit
It pushes more than the Aldrich and SSH+, imo. Hits an amp just right to give it a bit more grind. Way more lively than the 500t that came stock in my Explorer. Really liked the Psykes in my Explorer. Have an old Super Distortion in there now. Sounds great! But if I had to choose, Psykes.
