the audiophile world is rife with this stuff,
like you might hear you need to spend 7k on specific cables to get that real bass left in your whatever speaker, or something else obscene to have for your living room that isn't built, or I'd assume not built by engineers to maximize the room for whatever you do, ie listen to records... wtf?
or getting a 12k power conditioner, or power whatever to make your power cables really bring out that tone, uhhh ok?
it's all nuts, including players that swear by certain capacitors or NOS tubes from the 50's by rca, or certain speakrers, there's preferences but hard lines or whatever to get that tone is silly
i might have fired shots, but that's my lukewarm take on the matter
hard wired better than pcb, etc etc, these tubes are X, versus these other tubes being Y, when it's more complicated than that
The liquid leads and other terminology to describe whatever the tone can sometimes be vague and depending on who is using said terminology mean different things to whoever is listening....
it's too early to think of other things that people say to describe tone beyond liquid leads, but they're out there
