Figured I'd share, I was EQ ing wrong all along
I always liked it. But now I love it. Spent lots of time with it lately, man it's way more cutting now, and more attack with the Diezel polished sound.

Here's a couple vids. One boosted one not. Figured I'd share my findings, I know lots of people don't give these amps the credit they deserve. It's amazing me thinks

Boosted

No boost

On a side note:

Anyone care to share how to imbed the video so the link doesn't show?

Just copy the last part of the link and put it in the youtube tags.....so you'd copy this: CDjDKldmBe8 and then wrap it like this:

Sounds badass....really dig the boosted tones, man.

oh man marked for later as I am at nonGuitar work and can't use the volume
Do you include your setting changes in the vids?

I can take a pic of the amp and post it for sure if you'd like. It's crazy I reversed everything I normally do. Never really played channel two much. Now it's just lethal. THen I have channel 3 for the chugga breakdown stuff. I have a new 412 coming with v30/k100 x pattern front loaded. Dovetail joints, metal grill shock mounted, custom from avatar. Can't wait.
This vid was with a 212 v30 rear load.

yes, very interested to see your settings. I've got a Mills 2x12 with V30's, so would love to see how it works out.

Thanks for posting!

Amp settings: mid cut was engaged for sure. The main volume was master 2

Mild boost: zero drive. Volume not even 3/4

Never even thought about trying the gain that low and I usually boost bass and treble and pres. I was also running the channel volumes high, I like it like this better personally. It's awesome what all is tweakable though
The deep is high because the boost. Gives it the thump I like. Channel two is super tight. You can hear the change in channel 2/3, it thickens up with channel 3, all those low mids. Love it, makes it super versatile. I start with 2, then switch a couple times between the channels.
Sorry, I Wasn't warmed up only had a couple min to play while the house was empty.

Yeah man, always pump the mid on a Diezel if not at least keep it at noon. They sit in a different spot from the norm.

Damn that sounds bad ass... I swear your vids always make me want new amps ;) So what would you choose if you had to pick between the Dmoll and Butterslax?

The clips sound great!!!
The settings are real similar to where I put mine, I also use a Maxon but a 808x (I need to try the green one one day)
You still have the Fortin Grind? I had 2 and miss them, lol they were awesome with DMoll

^ he said it was a rear loaded 2x12 with V30s

Sounds great! I always ended up with the controls at noon with every VH4 I've had, but I can definitely see how it'd make sense to cut the treble and bass a bit of you're using the mid cut.
