Im trying to decide what kind of humuckers I would like to put into my new Blacktop telecaster (black).

Choices- Tone Zone, Duncan Distortion, Invaders, Lace DeathBucker

Im trying to get a smooth yet chunky bottom end sound. I listen to alot of bands like Saosin, Thursday, and Thrice.

Please help me decide!

Sorry, I am unable to provide good advice...but, here is a BUMP for ya. :D

i'll probably get flamed for the suggestion, but...guitarpartsonline.com has a SET of humbuckers for $25 that flat out rock. yep, they are asian knockoffs, but at least they knocked off good pickups.

i have three sets of them. here are the ones i suggest: http://www.guitarpartsonline.com/produc ... cts_id=377

they sound a lot like duncan distortion pickups.

I think you are on the right track. I am a Dimarzio lover. Like all pups they sound a bit different with
different guitars. I would go for the TZ. Or better yet an Air Zone. Bit less output to keep it smooth.

I think I will go with the tz. Its going to be played out of jet city 22 head and 2x12 cabinet. Very tubey head with the soldano circuit. I want to have a very unique 3 dimensional sound. Also have an ibanez rg to mess with also.

The best dimarzio I've tried is the super 3 and I've had most of them.

Super 3 is killer. Very heavy but focused mids. If I was to play more metal than blues that is what I
would use.

I just put a Super Distortion in my Axis and it sounds pretty sweet

Havent tried one but I heard a Norton is an excellent pickup
