So....I'm reading this thread and my 8 year old daughter comes up from behind my chair and says, "Daddy, what's a hooker with a penis?"

*facepalm*

Nice :)

And they say Super Leads aren't heavy. ;) Makes you realize that "heavy" is more about the riff than the gain.

You running that thing full out or using a PPIMV or attenuator?

I want to keep my hearing a few more years lol

*immediately starts looking for a 1959 Marshall and a Rockcrusher*

Sounds great man.

Thanks guys
This is one of my favorites as well.
I didn't do this one for a long ass time because I wasn't sure about a few things.
YouTube user opiateofmasses just covered it and helped me with a few things I was unsure of.
Thanks OPM!

Sounds pretty plain jane to me, amp tone included.

But what can I say, Tool is not my thing.

You should try something off Undertow. Like maybe Crawl Away, Flood, or Undertow with just the Marshall.

Meh, I mean... that's what a Super Lead sounds like.  Sounds pretty damn good to me. Les Paul + Cranked Marshall = Rock. That's the time-tested formula.

Wasn't the Aenima CD all Marshall?

I think I hear a lot of Mesa Rectifier on that album. But I honestly don't really know except that Aenima sounds a lot different than Opiate and Undertow, which I'm pretty sure were all Marshall. That said, your cover of this song sounds pretty darn awesome with just the Marshall. Songs like Stinkfist kinda sound Recto-ish to me.

I thought the Diezel VH4 came into play with the Marshall on that album? Or not?

Aenima was recorded with Rectifier and Marshall. VH4 came into play during the Aenima live tour somewhere. He started the tour with the Mesa, but brought in the VH4. At one point he was using all three on stage, but phased out the Mesa.
