Just got a few of these bad boys from Erem (Weller). The quality is ridiculous. I've heard other says theirs are still going strong after 20+ years. Got a lead straightener, another cutter, and some needle nose on the way too.

Quality does look rather nice! I repaired appliances for about 7-8 years in another lifetime and would have killed for something of this quality. Good tools and the right tools for the job make an incredible difference.

Ugh, I need to quit buying tools, and then I see this thread..... look super nice! It's really amazing the difference a nice tool can make.

I made do for too long with junk cutters. A couple years ago I got some small knipex side cutters and nice wire strippers and it’s worth it to spend extra on things with cutting edges. Cutters, knives, saws, router bits, etc.

Those round noise pliers look useful though, I find myself often wishing my needle nose pliers had a finer tip (but never doing anything about it).

Yes and no. These are manufactured/marketed for the microelectronics and medical industries. I think the jewelry makers sort of adopted them.
