Topedo Live Spdif issue

Hi there,

I just got a Totpedo live and have tried connecting it via Spdif to my Apollo Twin and although I get sound there is also a strange noise coming from the left speaker. I must be missing something but can't seem to get rid of it.

Hi Dean, can you make sure the OUTPUT setting of the Live is set to wet/wet?

Well in Wet Wet the Live sends an identical signal on both SPDIF channel.

If the sound is good:
- When you listen to headphones directly with the Live,
- or when you connect the Line output of the Live into the soundcard

Maybe you have an issue with the sync between the Live and your soundcard. You soundcard needs to be Slave as the Live is only master.

Hey mate,

Yeah it sound great through headphones, I think you are right about the sync between the Live and the soundcard, I'm just not sure how to set the sound card to slave. So I need to set my sound card to 48kh? I tried to do this but it will revert back to 44kh within seconds. I'm close .

Problem solved, it was a mismatch with the Kh I changed it to 48kh before turning on the Torpedo and bam all good, I feel silly so simple

I don't know very well the Apollo, but please take a look at its manual and search for the clock source p46:

It needs to be external.

And quite honestly if you struggle with SPDIF, just switch to Line, it's not like your sound will be totally destroyed.
