And I loved it

I'm completely stumped on how they crammed that much gain and tones into that little amp. I always compare little amps like this to my old 80's fender Superchamp and this thing held up to it. Im very impressed and the price is rediculous. I could care less if its a toy inside because it sounds killer.
It doesn't have the wallup of the Vox night-train or the Egnater but it is a little firebreather for sure!

Needless to say, I bought one!!! Now here is the kicker, I bought a Blem HT-5 on Music123 for $260 and I had a $25 coupon from them as well. The Total cost was $235 with shipping which makes it about the price of a boutique pedal lol

Hey Ralph, was the at Comach, or Camack, however you Islanders spell it. :D I bought the head and 2 1x10's from GC the other day but they said it was in LI. I quickly cancelled it after i saw that Music123 has them in stock for that dirt cheap price, and i don't want anything to do with those 1x10's.

Guitar Center tries to make you buy the whole package, 1 head and 2 cabs for $499.

I'm getting one as well since the Mark V is taking forever to ship out. Shit, this little head cost less than an Eventide pedal. I also checked out the Rebel 20 but i was never 100% happy with it.

I think the Rebel 20 is cool but I like this amp much better but different strokes ya know!!

As I said before if you don't mind buying a blemished item you can get the sucker for $235

I was pretty impressed with the eq on that amp - lots of cool tones to dial up. I'd like to see an amp like that in a 100 watt!
I agree 100% !! I know they have higher wattage amps but they don't sound the same as this monster did!

With that said, you could always use that amp and slave it lol :D

I've read that the HT-5 is based on a gain pedal they have and the other amps they have are not. Supposedly, the gain pedal they make into a clean amp sounds like the HT-5.

Yes! That was the one!! Commack lol!! If you buy from music 123 use the code if you have it!! if you don't let me know!!

I tried a HT-5 at GC and really liked it. I couldn't help but wonder though, what kind of mods it might take. Like, "what could FJA Amps do with this little fucker?"

Regardless, I predict one will be in my future as well.

yup, those things are badass!

I agree Brother!!! When I was in GC I had the balls to slave the HT-5 to a Bogner Alchemist and one guy freaked and almost bought the Bogner because of that tone lol! I had to tell him that I was getting the distortion from the HT-5 :D

that's cool as hell.

back before i figured out my Metro will probably sit on the kitchen table as long as yours, one of bright ideas for building an amp was to build one with an EL-84 amp slaved into a 34 amp but all on the same chassis.

I can't see modding it at all. It's got plenty of gain and more then enough tonal options and if I wanted to drastically alter the sound, id use an EQ in front or in the loop!!! With that said, it might be cool for Jerry and other modders to see what they can do with it for fun lol!!

OK, I'll go ahead and ask: Do it gots an FX loop? :D
yes! That's how I slaved it. took the effects send out to the return of the Bogner head next to it lol ;)

this EL-84 slaved into EL34 amp already exists, but for the life of me I can't remember the name.

edit - just remembered -Guytron

yeah, guytron did that and it is a killer sound.

Tommy folkesson also does something like that in his amps that just kill. He sort of sets up his mods to be like slaving one amp into another although it's all done internal. His mods sound killer although he wont ship to the USA because its a PITA :D
His amps get killer pre and power distortion without shattering your ears or having to use a slave setup. The Guys brilliant IMHO.
