I have heard so much love for these...but i just don't care for 'em much

i have tried every pick under the sun almost, but i always find myself reaching in my pocket for a dime. it just works for me

Jazz III's are awesome. My playing has improved quite a bit since switching over to them.

Try the Dunlop Ultex series--all the best features of a Jazz III in a full-sized pickup (IMHO).

I prefer the Jazz III XL's over all picks. I like their "regular" size over the Jazz III's. I have been playing them exclusively for about 3 years now. They just force the snap and tone out of your strings. lol

I've tried numerous other picks and keep coming back to the Jazz III's...

I've been trying different picks too - tried Jazz iii's but I don't care for the tone I get. I tried the little Jazz Tortex pics, they have good attack but lack the ooomph of a reguilar sized pick. So I went back to my regular Tortex 1.14 - BUT because I liked the feel of the smaller picks I started paying careful attention how I hold it - I now choke up on it pretty good and use just a little bit of the tip of the pick - seems to have improved my pick control/speed a great deal.

I like the smaller size and the material they are made of, but I don't like the sharpened tip. I use Dunlop Gator Grips and some brass picks that I modify into the same shape.

I think if you use them long enough, you won't want to use anything else. It forces you to be more accurate/have more control because otherwise you'll trash your hands, lol. I used to hate them at first too, though.

Ditto all of that for me. Hate all other picks now.

I've flipped between various picks in the last few years and I keep coming back to Jazz IIIs and other such small picks. I used the Black Ice 1.5mm for a few weeks and I do really like them but my accuracy is just better with either the black or ultex Jazz III. Ultex for the tone, black for the feel. I wish I could combine the two somehow!

used jazz III forever... all regular picks feel like a boat paddle to me now.

tried out the jazz iii xl today...better....but i also found a 2.0 dunlop big stubby...i'm really liking it so far...i like the thicker picks for some reason...the big stubby seems to be helping me keep my picking hand relaxed with the finger indents on it....but i like the tone i get with the jazz iii xl better LOL.

Darren, try the sharp version Tortex. You get the tip of a Jazz with the feel and size of a regular pick.

I just got some of them, and they are pretty cool.

I have never paid much attention to picks... Just as long as they are hard enough. Maybe I should look into this... It's CHEAP GAS!!!

Anybody who hates their Jazz III picks is more than welcome to toss them in an envelope and send them my way. :D
