I went on the guitar pick walkabout, and tried all of them.

I settled on the yellow Tortex sharps.

I have been using V-Picks, before that Jazz III for years. Just got a couple of Gravity picks, and I like them so far, not sure they will replave the V-Picks, but will be fair in the trial. Jazz III are still some greatpicks.

Red Bear Lil Jazzer for me.....I will never play anything else.

Love the Jazz iii Ultex. I also like the Eric Johnson Jazz iii's.

used jazz III forever... all regular picks feel like a boat paddle to me now.
same boat(no pun intended, lol). After getting used to the size, now a standard size pick feel awkward. My only complaint, is I wish the black ones weren't so easy to lose.

Big jazz III fan. Never played the XL's or Ultex but would like to one day. PLayed the eric johnson ones and they are a little too flexible for me compared to how stiff the regular III's are.

I dont like Jazz III's either............then again I like boat paddles. I cant play worth a shit unless I'm using the big triangle picks. My favorite are the D'Andrea 0.88's. Ultex triangle 0.88's not far behind.

I've got a bunch of Jazz III's and Jazz III XL's if anyone wants them. I'll stick em' in an envelope and get them out in Monday's mail. PM me

The jazz iii is my favorite shaped pick.

Started using the black nylon ones in the early 80's.

Switched to the green tortex ones around '87.

Just recently incorporated the ultex ones about a month ago. Still fluctuating back and forth
between the tortex and the ultex but I'm really liking the tone of the ultex. (kinda hard getting
used to the thickness though...)

I am Glad all you jazz iii players out there then they will keep making them!

I never cared for them either. I'm just so used to Fender heavy's, been using them since about 85 or so.

I've used the purple tortex for so long I can't get used to jazz iii's. They also sound weird to me with acoustic guitars.

Used to use them religiously, once I started using them I couldn't use anything else. Now that I am not using them anymore my playing has improved.

Medium-light nylon picks for my acoustic

That's why I use the red ones at home where my floors are dark. :D

I have heard so much love for these...but i just don't care for 'em much
I agree with that, I could never get used to the picks being so small when I used them.

I prefer the Jazz III XL's over all picks. I like their "regular" size over the Jazz III's. I have been playing them exclusively for about 3 years now. They just force the snap and tone out of your strings. lol
I have never heard of the XL Jazz III until now, so I may have to check them out.

I started off using Fender Heavy's, then I went to Dunlop ultex then tortex and ended up sticking with the tortex now for about 3 or 4 years.

I use the max grip jazz III's occasionally, and purple Tortex H3s. I notice that the black Tortex 1.14's have a very "slippery" finish on them that aggravates me. Nothing a bit of sandpaper wouldn't cure I'm sure though.

For straight rhythm guitar and acoustic, I do like full size thinner picks, like .58mm. Great for chord work.
