I'm sure there's regulations, subsidies and other things that make it cost less. I'm not sure how bad it is for the environment compared to most places but it's probably cleaner than Canadian energy like the oil sands. I'm currently looking at $240 a tank for a Dodge Ram Ecodiesel.
