No one told me about system exhaust regeneration before buying a modern diesel. Most of the year when I'm working it's fine and easy to maintain. Once a week during the winter I have to stop what I'm doing and go drive on the highway for 30-40 minutes or my truck will be disabled and cost thousands to repair. Cost me over $1000 to clean it out after 8 years of driving. Did I ever mention the engine blowing up at 180,000 kms/110000 miles and spending $20,000 for another Ecodiesel engine?

The fuel mileage is incredible but those engines easily destroy themselves.

Go EV bro. My Silverado costs $28 for a full charge which is about 800km.

I use to drive about 45,000 kms a year for work and now I'm driving about 25,000kms. Ecodiesel engine has about 70,000kms on it and I'll drive it into the ground because I'm cheap. After that I'd consider it but likely years away from another vehicle.
